Nobody in this thread has reported the viewers cap today. If you're not using Windows, I've posted this guide so many times now I don't even know:
1. Go to http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens1/live/ 2. View Page Source 3. About 75% down the page source, you will see "<!-- Premium LIVE Start//-->" in green italics on the left. A little ways after that, you'll see the link. The one under the section "function LiveHQ()" is HQ. The one under the section "function Live()" is SQ. It will look like:
document.location.href='gomcmd:///title%20TG-IntelSTARCRAFTIIOpenSeason1%20avis://THISISGOMSIPIMNOTPOSTINGITHERE:8900/view.cgi?hid=1&cid=21&nid=900&uno=14147&&title=TG-IntelSTARCRAFTIIOpenSeason1';
4. Take the part from avis://GOMSIP up to the semicolon (but not the semicolon) 5. Replace the avis:// with http:// (Your link should now look like http://GomsIPAddress:8900/view.cgi?hid=1&cid=21&nid=900&uno=14147&&title=TG-IntelSTARCRAFTIIOpenSeason1') 6. Open VLC Media Player 7. Press Crtl+N. 8. Paste your link in the window. 9. ??? 10. Profit!
This is directly using their stream, so any network counting will count you.

About the restreams, luckily today I'm home and can watch with GOM player, but when I'm not here I can't watch it with the GOM player, so restreaming is really helpful to me so I can still watch this great tourney. Thank you restreamers. To all you people hating on it... why do you care? How is it bothering you in the slightest?

I just downloaded and installed the bloatware gom player, signed up to their site, and tried watching it all in good faith. As others have experienced 'Too many simultaneous connections', so too I. Trying to do show my support by watching directly from Gom but can't. So re-stream it is.
Unless I'm mistaken, their free stream service is the green buttom labeled 'SQ LIVE'?

The strategy banks on the opponent seeing the Chrono Boost and assuming the Warp Gate research is going, since players at the higher levels usually don't consider using resources like that often AND they check things so quickly due to high APM and muscle memory that they might not have time to check for the animation, just Chrono Boost.

"We apologize for your inconvenience. Currently, simultaneous connection limit has exceeded. Please try to access Live shows after a moment."
If their stream is full it's full. Additional people hitting the "watch live" button won't change that.
I just got in though so watching it on the player now - I'm still thankful for the restreamers when GOM can't handle more viewers.

So, PvP. I know Inca is quite good, what about the other guy?
What are we expecting here, 4 gate rush both ways?

The 2nd game was just awful play from protoss

Most people here aren't watching restreams to spite GomTV or to get a HQ stream without paying—I'm watching a restream of the low quality.
We're having trouble on multiple levels. Either we can't sign in on GomTV's site; the LQ stream is full; or the GomTV player isn't working properly—if we can download it at all; I haven't found a Mac version.
Between watching a restream, and potentially doing harm to GomTV's realistic view count, and not watching the tournament at all and doing harm to their total view count, I choose the former.

HERP DERP gom player won't open anything. Dang. But no really anyone know how to get Gom Player to stop A- outright crashing. Or B - When it doesnt crash tells me I'm behind a firewall, when I'm not. I would check the GomTV forums. I think there's something about the firewall and crashing issues.
Thanks for the help, but I can't seem to find it, Checked the first 5 pages of their forum. But didn't find anything that helped at all. Does anyone know where it is?

DO you understand that ??? Do you understand how capitals and punctuation work? Seriously it isn't that hard to sign up, neither I nor the 12 other people in vent with me had a problem. People are just lazy. If the stream is going down I can understand or if you have legitimate problems. That's not the case for most people that are re-streaming though. If people want to watch re-streams fine, but it probably shouldn't be on TeamLiquids front page.
Stop being a royalist more than the king, mind your own business. People run into problems (the stream is already full), just move along.

I would shamefully watch a HQ restream.
