when you try to fast tech with 3 units and fail to use your only defense it has nothing to do with balance at all.

for people who says that SC2 is boring: it's cause of ro64. allot of the players aren't really that good, and those players that are good are meeting other bad players. it will catchup once we get to 32 16 and 8. It was the same for SC1. Ro 64 of GOM starcraft 1 classic were pretty damn stale as well.

Any of the non-top names that qualified really aren't anything special. The average Korean who is high on the ladder isn't some demi-god at sc2. Any of the top NA and Euro players had good odds of qualifying.
