Julyzerg should be there too, or did he not make it?

No neither, he couldn't participate yet. Can't remember why, I'd assume something kespa-related. I think he'll be there next time though

Hello, me again.

I'm sorry that I haven't been very active, but we are really busy down here at GomTV.
We have just finnished making brackets for RO64. I know many of you are very curious about it, but all I can say is that it will be confidential for now.

As for the opening match, I mentioned before that there will be 16 players playing. It seems I was misinformed. There will be 4 selected players from RO64, which means there will be 2 matches(3 games per match, the best two wins).

Well I guess another big question everyone has is "How the hell do we watch the games?!"
We will upload them on http://www.gomtv.net. It is NOT in Korean and you do NOT need to pay.

"What about commentaries?! Do we have to watch it listening to Korean jibberish?" Not to worry. Dan(Artosis) and Nick(Tasteless) are going to provide English commentaries.

If by any chance some of you already live in Korea or are planning to come to Korea this week. The opening match will be held at KBS 88 Stadium at 7pm KST on 4th of September. It's free and all the players that participated in the preliminaries will be given VIP seats and presents.

For further information do not hesitate to email me : junkka@gretech.com

Who will be commentating for the Koreans? Will it be OGN's 전용준 or 이현주?

Hmm...I'm not sure about OGN but there will be 2 casting teams from GOM. All the casters from start2gether Siege will be included.

Will we be getting interviews in English?
Obviously not many of the Koreans will necessarily speak English, but it would be nice to get some interviews done if at all possible.
CellaWeRRa just about manages english, and obviously the foreigners speak english, but is anything in place for guys who don't speak english to give interviews to tasteless/artosis?

As I was in the meeting today to set up the brackets I was not able to make it to the studio. TorcH has mailed me that Dan and Nick were there at the studio. I have not heard anything from the production team, but it is possible the interview might be available in English.

I don't think it matters too much for the most of the people here if the interviews are on video or just transcribed, just as long as it's available in English. During the offline qualifiers, people were even translating the Korean interviews and posting them here. They were quite interesting and insightful, so definitely do try to get some on the English gomtv website if possible.

I know all of them, they were high ladder pre-LOD, many from old clan's like Lof, Werra, Rex, FS, NAN, Cherry etc.

It's strange that they pimped 100 foreign players going when it seems the number is actually 11 = IdrA, Artosis, Nazgul, TLO, Jinro, TorcH, Smuft, GiYoM + 3 relative unknowns. That's quite a discrepancy

They boasted 100 foreign players who signed up, but most of them probably did not actually go. Visa issues, travel money, etc. There were many walk-overs in the first round.

Junkka,

Thanks for keeping us informed on what's going on, it's great to have this level of communication between Gom and the english community.

I'm curious if there are any plans to help foreigners come over to play in future qualifiers, such as travel and hotel arrangements as well as future accommodations if they manage to qualify and have to stay longer or even permanently. There are lots of really great foreign SC2 players and I'm sure for many it's kind of intimidating to be coming over to play without knowing a whole lot of details.
