The King of SEA Nation War League Season 1 has come to an exiciting end. Congratulations to Australia for being crowned KING!!
+ Show Spoiler [Final Standings] +
+ Show Spoiler [Final Week Recap] +The final week was super intense with 6 of the 7 teams actually changing places in the final week!
First of Phillipines managed to suprise everyone by taking thier first win by beating indonesia 4-0, and thus claiming the important bonus point. Having that bonus point pushed them from the bottom of the table, so that means Indonesia finished the season at the bottom! What a way to go out of the season with a bang, 4-0 no less! Nice work phillipines!
The next match was Thailand vs Vietnam, and wow we were in for another suprise. Vietnam rising stars Okharon and Bull managed two important wins against indy and tuynui, who were #2 and #3 in a recent Thai toruney, so it was really Thailands strongest team ever! RedArchon did not disappoint as usual and won his games, but great job Vietnam for taking out Thailand and thus claiming the #4 spot in the league!
It was now onto the final match of the season, Australia vs New Zealand. Singapore having lost to Australia, had to hope that NZ beat Australia so Singapore could keep their #1 spot. The games were really exciting with Finest putting NZ in the lead at 1-0. Later on, Australian players YoonYoJun and Mez won two back for Australia before NZ superstar Kowi yet again showed his dominance, helping NZ tie the games at 2-2. Ace match time! It was Kowi vs GLaDe yet again, and after some exciting games, glade prevailed, winning his games and thus winning Australia the King of SEA Nation League title!
Congrats to Australia and the Season MVP GLaDe, who went an amazing 7-0 in sets against the very best of SEA.
+ Show Spoiler [Season Fun Facts] +Interesting Facts: There were only 3 draws (2-2) which went to ace matches out of the 21 matches that took place.
GLaDe played in every matchday for Australia, and went an amazing 14-1 against the best players from SEA. He could have been 14-0 if not for his silly 6 pool vs anavar from Singapore haha! Australia also have a massive 8 players with a 100% Set win record. Azz and Pinder(aka JPMoney here) however, SHAME ON YOU both! You both finish the season with a 0% record. No more rage quitting Pinder!
Singapore stars Ice and OxygeN have 100% set win records, but they only played 5 sets in total between them.
Unfortunately, bottom finishing team Indonesia has no players above 50% win ratio, and WakeMeUp has played 5 sets and lost them all!! As a result, Indonesia has been relagated and Brunei will replace them in Season 2. Nah kidding But Hendry(WakeMeUp) that was disappointing performance from you !!
New Zealand has two strong players pulling in wins for them, Stroggos and Kowi, both with 3-1 in sets.
Thailand has only one player above 50% win ratio, and that is none other than SEA superstar RedArchon at 80%, who played 5 sets, winning 4 of them for thailand but losing his only set to none other than the PROTOSS HERO ME ME ME!!
Philippines due to their team reformation, ended up having the most diversity, with 13 different players being fielded for them! WeeChooChoo turned out to be the star of the team, going 3-1 in sets and having a 70% Maps Win Ratio
Vietnam star Rambolicios Fried Chicken has been AFK on vacation, but it looks like they have found a new one in Okharon, who went 2-0 in sets, including his suprise victory over tinytwo of New Zealand.

I think the Aussie ones will always be casted no matter what just because all the SEA casters are Aussies n_n
|
Hmmm. Or at least the ones you know about.. I'm sure there must be casters in other countries.. I hope at least =\
|
With the exception of Malaysia, everytime has now already submitted their 10 team roster and character codes. Check out the team list above!
Malaysia might sadly drop out because they cant get players

I would say they are only slightly favored over us. Your always so pessimistic

Malaysia has 2 tournaments starting this week.
Apologise for the disappointment as the top players would like to concentrate on the local tournaments and will be absent for at least 2 - 3 weeks.
Hope you all have fun.
|
Vietnam vs phillippines, and thailand vs IND matchups are out!
3 mirror matchups lol
|
|
Malaysia has pulled out because their top players have other commitments and they dont wanna send a weak team, so that leaves 7 confirmed and very stacked teams
So each week there will be 3 matches and one team will rest.

I think his post was a prediction.
Spewing that Australia won't get to play this weekend.
Some great players in the Aussie lineup for sure.

singapore's lineup keeps getting stronger and stronger lol. And yeah Thailand is really scary, can't say my ladder games vs redarchon and indy have gone that well.

Ah, it must be. Hope my connection won't fail me this sunday, I'd like to see all the games :D
I think it will be a close game for every nation. Singapore looks strong, Aussie too, but many things can happen in this game

Singapore vs Vietnam matchups are out now in the OP, as well as Some pre match hype manager interviews!!!!
Phillipines Manager CliveTFD Question 1: Who do you think is the strongest team to win this Nation War League CliveTFD: I think it's too early to tell who will be the strongest team to win the NWL since it was only the first round. But I think australia could possibly have the bests players this side of world Question2: Are you happy with the Pinoy team and how far do you think you can go. Pinoy didnt do too well last round CliveTFD: Yeah, I'm still proud of my team even though we lost to vietnam in an embarassing manner. Most of our players are very young with the RTS genre and we will continue in improving in the best possible time. Question 3: With the matchups out, how do you think you will fare against Australia this week? CliveTFD: We are very prepared, when we played vietnam some of the players got into a mix up and thought they would be playing but they didn't this time, I've told them to commit to the schedule and practice/theorycraft on this weeks map pool. So be ready aussies, you're about to taste some Filipino Katipunero Pride

TanTaniX. 611 = Lost temple
PYRO.365 = Delta Quadrant
came from my pm to you.. I hope it fixes things up

I hope that Glade vs Davsp will be epic!

PH leader says that 3PM PH time is laggy? I didn't notice this?
3PM PH time would be preferred for me I don't think it will be laggy, but otherwise we still don't know a time.

Hello deL,
we've agreed that we can play at 3pm PH time/5pm Sydney time ^_^
see you guys! GL HF
|
I hope deth told the players the time cos I know I sure as hell didn't
GLaDe doesn't know if he will make it, he will be in Sydney for the LAN so it depends on the scheduling of that tourney.
Mujahidun can't make it cos of work, so we might have to make his game 4th to give him time to get back.
If they can't make it, replacements will be from pinder, deth or Azz prob.

Hi mates,
just heard the news about NZ quakes, hope you from NZ are all doing well. It seems pretty bad from what I've seen on the news.

+ Show Spoiler [Week 2 Recap!!] +What another amazing week of nation wars for the SEA/AZNZ region!! The proceedings began at 2PM SG time when ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/nz.png) New Zealand squared off against ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/id.png) Indonesia. With three games going 2-1, and one going 2-0, the games were actually alot closer then the 4-0 scoreline reflected. However, with ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/nz.png) NZ manager Stroggos crucially stepping in to take down Indonesian star Kottbullar, NZ managed to gain the 3 ladder points and that vital +1 bonus point for their 4-0 victory, which could come in real handly in the final tallying of points. At 3pm, both the ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/sp.png) Singapore vs ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/vn.png) Vietnam and ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/au.png) Australia vs ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/ph.png) Phillipines matches began. The Singapore manager decided to let some new Singapore talents showoff their skills, but would it be enough to overcome Vietnam? Vietnam were the current top leaders of the table, having beat Phillpines 4-0 impressively the week before. After some great games, ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/sp.png) Singapore emerged victorious winning with wins from Revenant, TenderSteak, and up and coming talents Progrezzion and Sweet. Vietnam manager Fantasio stepped in and took a map for Vietnam with some impressive collosus play against progrezzion. Another close match was TenderSteak vs Vietnam star Rambolicious on Lost Temple, with lots of early aggression which really could have gone either way. Singapore get +3 points and that vital +1 bonus point for the 4-0 Victory. The Australia vs Phillipines matches had an astounding 517+ viewers at its peak! ![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/tsld/images/flags/au.png) Australia, which was rated as the #1 team to take this compeition by every manager in the pre-match interviews last week, did not disappoint. They showed off what amazing depth they have in their team. Kjh started the match off with a 2-0 victory, then Glade showed off that hes amazing with terran too by 2-0ing dav, and finally the 2 Aussie random players Guc and Semu winning 2-1 and 2-0 respectively. Shoutouts this week go to of course the fantastic casters. For Mezza.445, an up and coming Singaporean caster, it was his first time doing live casting and he did a great job casting the NZ vs IND matches. You can see his stream here http://www.livestream.com/mezzastarcraft. Mezza is currently looking for a co-caster for next week! For the Singapore vs Vietnam match, Singapore casters Kelly and HDPhoenixx did a great job too, and it was their first time casting together. HDPhoenixx has a really nice style, hes like Singapores own Husky ^^ And kelly says im a meanie so im gonna say Kelly please stop talking about how Xel Naga towers and everything else looks like xxxxxes. Check out their casts here. http://www.livestream.com/kellymilkies http://www.youtube.com/user/HDPhoenixxLastly to Unstable and co who did a great Job as usual keeping the 500+ viewers throughly entertained. View archives of their stream here. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/unstable-tv1Replays will be out soon as will the archived VODs at the respective streams listed above for those who want to watch that Be prepared for a very exciting series of matches next week as 16 of the top players in SEA might have to sit out to play in the Blizzcon invite tourney. But its going to be business as usual and its going to be really exiciting to see how these "Top" nations do against the other countries without their star players being available - glade, redarchon, leggionaire, indy, etc.

Good game everyone.
Can't wait to see the replay. Late for today's stream.
NZ looks great, but I think Indonesia seems to play quite well too, hope can improve in the next game.
AU and SG look strong as predicted.

hey there, i recently set up a livestream account, so hope this helps
check out http://www.livestream.com they offer free streaming services up to 500kbps
you can sign up for a free account, the process takes probably a couple of hours to sort everything out, you should also download the free program, "procaster" from their website to allow for more control of when you're broadcasting, you can either broadcast using their web app (strongly not recommended) or use procaster which is run from your desktop
you will also need your channel to be verified/authenticated so that they will allow more than 50 users to log in to your stream at once, unverified channels have a user cap of 50
the verification process varies, you have to fill in a bunch of online forms to show your intent and stuff and it took me around 1-2 hours for the forms, they claim verification takes up till 3 days to process, but i got a reply within 24 hours on a weekday so that was awesome
so give it a shot and best of luck
and thanks to everyone for tuning in on sunday! props to the NZ and IN players for putting up a great series of matches
|
@mezza
hey! thanks for that! very informative!
I'll see if i can accomplish this throughout the week.
are you gonna be livestreaming some of these games?

Hi Nirvana,
With so many events floating around at the moment it seems nearly impossible to keep up with all of them, so I just wanted to say thanks for the excellent summaries and detailed information. Coming to work and reading this thread after the weekend makes me feel like I didn't miss a thing.
EDIT: I just had a thought - and it was a really stupid one. :D

I will be stepping down as team leader of team philippines, but kclolz will be handling management for the meantime. So the whole Philippine team line up might change as well. I will still keep in touch regarding the league if ever kclolz/nirvana needs my help or if you need help contacting people.

Week 3 Recap, results, and standings have been updated. If interested, read the earlier weeks recaps and results in the 3rd post of this thread. We are half way through already, just four weeks remain till the King Nation of SEA is crowned!!
+ Show Spoiler [Week 3 Recap] +Oh my goodness what busy weekend! This week was pretty hectic for some of the players, having to juggle the nation wars and two other huge tournaments running around the same time. (And of course the SC1 OSL finals was running too, which every true Starcraft fan will watch! Just ask Ice and his 6 pool in the SEA finals inspired Jaedong play lol.) The first tourney was of course the massive blizzard SEA invitational tournament, which alot of the nation war players were involved in. The other tournament was the cybergamer qualfiers #1. Whats worse was i was playing in them too lol. Anyway the show must go on, i just needed to sit out the cybergamers tourney this week, no biggy there are 3 more qualifiers. I want to first give a big shoutout to THANAPOL KUARCHART! + Show Spoiler [SEA invite results] + aka RedArchon. Its my hunch that in thai when its translated, the DarkArchon unit becomes RedArchon so thats why he calls himself that lol! Amazing job he did, For winning the SEA invitational, coming from the loser bracket no less to beat ice 4-0, and also his nationwar match. He played very well and basically dominated the SEA ladder over the last month and definetly deserves to represent SEA Blizzard will probably do a more detailed write up on how the invitational tournament went soon. Anyway, on to the nation war matches! Because of the busy Sunday, the Australia vs Thailand match was moved forward to Saturday so national stars like glade, indy, redarchon and legionnaire could play. And play they did!! The top stars really put on a masterclass, with glade doing some innovative amazing baneling drop play, something rarely seen, against the strong thai, SuperCheap and his collosus builds. Random player SeMu beat thefool convincingly and the solid Starcraft1 superstar Legionnaire did the same to thai star Indy, with one game even going to mothership usage! With Australia up 3:0, it was time for RedArchon to lay the smackdown and win at least a set of games for Thailand. However, Australia was in trouble because there weren't any other AU players online at that moment. However, after deL's suggestion, the Thai manager graciously allowed Legionnaire to play again for Australia in the final game. This is of course not an obligation, jumpman could have just walked over and taken the point and that would be in the rules and i would be ok with it so i really respect his decision to let legionnaire play so the fans could see more games The map was no other then the ISLAND map debris fields! RedArchon basically showed why hes #1 on this server. Final score, Australia 3, Thailand 1. Shout outs here go to Tenz and Kelly, who casted this match which peaked at over 400 viewers, RIGHT AFTER they were done casting the Blizz invitational games. Epic 11 hour casting stint. Poor kelly said she didnt have time to eat all day and just had time to brush her teeth. Kelly you got remember to use your husband to help u buy food etc! like chrono boost! So anyway mad props to tenz and kelly <3. Also, thailand and the world had a first taste of thai casting sc2! http://www.livestream.com/notynote did really enthusiastic thai casting with over 70 viewers probably all thai. I coudlnt understand a word but i could share his passion! The next match was the Singapore vs Phillipines match. In case you didnt know, there was some unhappiness among the PH players saying their best weren't playing. So new manager Kclolz stepped it and reformed the entire team to produce a spanking new PH! Well known Singapore Warcraft Orc Tagan aka 4 gate master, played first on the interesting island map debris fields. What would a 4 gate master do on an island map? 4GATE LIKE OBV! Haha anyway Tagan won his games pretty concinvgly 2:0. Also playing his first match for Singapore was anavar (aka Ravana, a 3 time Singapore WCG gold medalist for DOW/C&C). Ravana managed to take down Zhasz in some closely fought games 2-1. With the score currently being 2:0, PH was not looking in good shape. However, things were about to change! In sweeping sucession, weechoochoo and zhasz(same situation as AU so he played again) managed to take down Hghx and rev of Singapore, in games both with 2-1 sets, thus tieing the score at 2:2! The ace match was then played, with Singapores honour depending on Tagan, and PH pride depending on... none other then Zhasz!! After two games, the score was tied at 1-1, bring us to our first ACE match in an ACE MATCH!! Oh my god!! In a thrilling final game, with Mezzas great casting and 120 viewers on the edge of their seats, 4 gate master Tagan then proceeded to "mix it up", by 4 gating OBV! and showing why hes the best 4 gater on SEA lol. Singapore wins, 3:2 and is nearly upset in a very closely fought series. With PH awarded their first point from having gone to the ace match. Indonesia and Thailand went pretty smoothly, with solid commentating by railgun aka DFM. They started at the same time as the Singapore match so i couldn't follow it but it ended up 3-1 in Indonesia's favour with of course Vietnamese star RAMBOLICIOUS fried chicken taking down IND manager WakemeUp for Vietnam. All the games in this match ended 2-0!

To Blizzard HQ + Show Spoiler + if you are reading this, please keep me in mind if you are considering any new positions in the Singapore office to help the SEA community develop I will definetly do alot of coverage and generate new content regularly for the SEA community. Off the top of my head this could be stuff like top player like glade/redarchon/ice/oxy LIVE video interviews, organising nation tournaments or server wars like SEA vs USA, on the scene event coverage thru an SEA perspective, "a day in the life of ice@home" video weekly features, lots of stuff which i'm sure will add value to the SEA community and help it develop and grow further
|
That is an awesome recap post nirvana. More power to you and hope Blizz HQ considers you if any new positions open up in Singapore office.

VOD of IND vs VN is up on my ustream page: www.ustream.com/channel/railgunsc2
It's split into 2 parts because of some technical issues mid cast, part 1 will start echoing around 18min, although you can still watch the game that was going on that time, just without commentary. I fixed all/most of the issues in part 2 though Also sorry for the window switching, but didn't have a 2nd monitor set up that time so had to check if the stream was still up as it was giving me some problems the day before. Will hopefully be better next cast!

The much anticipated glade-oxy rematch from the blizz invitational hahahaha!!!!!!!! Also the icevsazz re match where ice previously went some crazy 1 hatch burrow roach build that worked on that very map. Also me vs goold ole fitlhy man we played like 100 1v1s already against each other and Tendersteak "I cant believe Yoon said theres no good SEA players!" vs Yoon "yea i did!"
|
|
|
|
Hrmm Ice isn't too cheesy, though I'd have to agree otherwise deL haha.
I was impressed by Oxygens creative play in the Blizz Invitational until I saw him play a macro game -_-. He's solid at throwing everything at players early game and walking away with a win. But his macro leaves a lot begging for someone of his rank.
I figured he was stronger in early game, but didn't expect his late game stuff to be as abysmal as what I've seen...
Either way - it'll be some sweet matches!
|
lol what!!!! As always, it can be seen deL loves his country alot
Although tender is like my best buddy in the whole world, I think Yoon will beat tender 2-0 unless tender really starts practising his pvt properly on ladder. He met a Yoon already on ladder a couple of times and i believe used up his bag of cheese so yoon will be prepared. For some reason, he refuses to play pvt straight up. On an unrelated note, tender is 4-1 vs redarchon in ladder cheese heaven. hahaha!
me vs fitlhy will be close, 2-1 either way. i believe its the same situation for oxy vs glade, expect a 2-1 either way. oxy being a very hard player to play against because he plays really unorthodox so your practise partners will play nothing like him. and glade being the solid abcer probably is still suffering from nightmares from blizzcon!
last match i think ice will take it 2-0. ice has been practising on the kr server and zvp is like his strongest matchup. also, he has already beaten azz in the last nation war when he was inactive! btw a fyi, azz is sexy stuff if you have seen his chiseled good looks you would know, so that might give him an edge somewhere.
predictions: final score 2-2 with ice fighting glade in an epic zvz ace match
edit: oh wow out of the 8 players, 7 of them are Top 11 in SEAs new top 200 list http://sea.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/75505
|
Top12 really, but usually you don't look at top11/12 Just say 6 of top10.
|
Go sg!
|
also predicting 2-2, glade vs ice ace match should be close. YYJ, nirvana, glade and ice winning their matches. Very close matchups though so pretty hard to predict tbh
|
Just recently moved into Singapore yesterday, haven't played for a while, and I can't join the Vietnamese team for at least 2 weeks
|
looking forward to these match ups gooo Aus

+ Show Spoiler [Week 5 Recap] + The 5th out of 7th week of the King of SEA nation wars started out with basically the match of the season, and decider for the #1 league spot, the Australia vs Singapore match, so the majority of this recap will be focused on that and also because i had no time to see the other games held concurrently!
The first match was Tendersteak vs Yoon, tender being the second highest ranked Singaporean on the recent top 200 list. Tender and his bag of cheese came into this match with a 6-2 ladder record vs RedArchon and 3-1 vs Yoon, so expectations were high! Unfortunately for tender, he succumbed to the pressure and played really nervously (i was at his house lol witnessing it all lol, he gets that way whenever the matches are streamed) so he just got steamrolled 2-0 by yoon lol! Like right after that game tender went to ladder and met RedArchon and beat him again ezpz lol.
Anyway next up was ME! vs legionnaire, as said above, this match was probably the highlight match of this war as game2 and game3 were actually pretty interesting pvp games. Nirvana beats leg 2-1, tieing the Au vs SG score at 1-1. We were now at the third and much anticipated rematch, OXY vs GLADE! Sad thing was an hour ago oxy had msged me saying that his family bought some tickets to somewhere at the very last minute and he couldnt play. So i called up anavar to replace him. First game was glade won pretty easy with mass mutas, 2nd game glade 6pooled allined with his drones only to meet a wall in lol. So we went to the final game where Anavar actually had a decent shot at winning but he didnt attack at the right timing, and instead chose to mass bcs which led to glade just macroing it up and winning with more money and more units. it was a good effort tho! Final game was actually played in advance and we didnt have time to cast it. basically ice won azz 2-0, and game 2 is an epic replay which must be seen, gonna post it later. Anyway, SG2, AU2, Ace match time!! Well not much to say, i was out of practise was counting on oxy or ice to play the Ace. Of course Ice instant quit bnet on purpose the moment it went to Ace cause he wasnt confident of playing so he didnt want to play leaving poor me to get steamrolled by glade 2-0. First game i just got roflstomped and 2nd game i went the worse BO vs his BO and made some poor decisions. So australia takes the series 3-2! And will probably be this seasons champs, as expected.
As for the other matches, I heard from NZ caster Navi the Nz vs Vn games were close and good, with Nz winning 3-1, with Nz SuperStar Kowi yet again gaining a win for NZ and driving them forward. New VN player Okharon suprisingly managed to take out stellar New Zealand protoss TinyTwo, gaining Vietnams sole match victory, so good job Okharon! Do check out the replays below.
Thailand also beat Philippines 3-1 with WeeChoochoo again the only player taking a game for Phillippines, although he did play twice after Jumpmans permission since PH were short of players. RedArchon continued his dominance not dropping a single map in about 5 sets of Nation War games. I believe he is 10-0 now.
All in all, it has been another great week of nation war matches! Stay tuned next week for the 2nd last week of the nation wars!!

NZ vs PH results
+ Show Spoiler + game 1: Justin < Zhasz 2-1 missed 1st game but i think it was a good air to air battle with both players getting into the mid game.
2: is a somewhat close game with zhasz opening 6 pool, and justin just managing to defend against the 6pool+offensive sunken with some good drone micro
3: justin goes for some drone kills with banelings, he kills some and manages to take about 10 more down to low red hp, but is then behind on tech and gives up map control going hydra. Zhasz moves in with a beautiful baneling/ling/muta attack and takes out justings entire army later on in the game.
game 2: stroggos >suoiciv 2-0
1:I go for a 4gateway+1 mothership push, suoiciv is unable to defend his natural.
2:suoiciv opens an early pool and i mess up my wall, he does some ok harass but then i scout his baneling nest. then i go for pheonix and dts and do some ok harass and eventually take the entire map.
game 3: Philippines forfeits game 4: Philippines forfeits
overall: 3-1 to NZ.

i want to make an early request for NZ vs AU to be played on the NA server if that's ok with the aussies
|
Man, going to talk to kclolz about this.. might bring the old line up with zhasz as team leader.
sad to hear that we forfeited a few games.
|
iaguz doesn't mind.
And yeah, fairly manner series against Indonesia. Well, that was right until the DT's came out, then ti became much less manner. I still won, but holy fucking shit do I hate the sons and daughters of Shakuras oh so very much.
|
Oh yeah, finish watching all the replay from AU vs ID.
Kudos for all players, too bad I can't watch the stream today.
^^

Clive! I know you are very busy, but you might want to have a tryouts for the last weekend of this event. Just post a thread on PSC site, make a set date and time for the tryouts, and just judge them after seeing them play for a couple of times against regulars like zhasz, etc.
Team PH might be in the bottom right now, but just try to go out with a Bang!

Strogg I was thinking like 2PM AEDT for the match that way it's more respectable for NZers AND doesn't clash with psi storm, in which both Aus and NZ have a lot of players.

|
Gotta ask something. I've read somewhere that after 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 patch, the players from SE Asia server could now play on NA server. Is this true?

time to add malaysia, HK, burma, brunei, etc.

WOW go Vietnam and Philippines!
When do we get to see the final standings and when do all the other nations have to bow down to Australia?
|
We(Vietnam) has some problem at finding players to participate in this at first. But as the tourney progress we are able to find some more players to the roster, and that definately add the quality to the Vietnam team. Vietnam go go go !!!

I know yoonyojun in real life Didn't know he got casted for this league though!
