Yea true didn't think about it from that angle.

his english isnt good because its the standard english education every german has to learn in school (5-7 years minimum).... so he doesnt have extra english skills or something like that.
And it's good to note that English is an absolutely atrocious language to learn, so it's not exactly easy or anything.
Its not that hard either, there are many many worse..

From the looks of it so far, its only tanks that are insane, but due to how mobile they are, its not an every-game situation.
All i really want to see is tank smart-firing gone, and a slight marauder nerf. LOL not happening
I tought Blizzard confirmed that there are no such thing as ''smart-firing'', it only appears so because there is no delay between launch and hit of the projectile. So it is basically impossible for tanks to waste a shot.

A Live Lan tourney is not the place to discuss balance issues.
The players are there to play their game they're not there to think about balance issues that may interfere with their play. (Far to many theres in that sentence)

Der, die, das, den, dem, des etc. I mean how the fuck am I going to figure out what is what. The fact that english uses "the" when talking about any thing makes it SO much easier than other languages.
Lol forced? when i was young we could choose between German and French later on in HF(no idea what you would call that in english) i didn't even have french or german, you could choose it if u wanted to
altough i wish i was forced, caus now i need to spend a year learing french to progress further in my education oh well

Yeah, great idea. The problem lies when you forget to put a, [/u ,[/b, etc. Everything just goes to hell.

Sarrens is really impressing me. I wasnt expecting anything from him and he's already 2-0. Lucifron had my hopes on C, but Sarens is proving I was wrong lol

He might be entertaining in his german online-casts for some people but please get someone real for this kind of event... his whole act is just so annoying. The lame thing is, 95%+ of the audience on the stream speaks english, so they are hosting the event in german... that makes SO MUCH SENSE. It's so ridiculous to have multi-language streams/events when the competition is global or watched globally. I 100% agree with this, If you'r running an internationall event you should probably cast the entire thing in English, and not having most of it in a language that most of the people watching does not comprehend. Feels like ESL's website, you can get some of it in english, but as soon as you start to click arround it turns to german. ESL is a company with its roots and sponsors in Germany. Because of that they will at all times have to pay a lot of attention to the German visitors even if it's a smaller percentage on the stream. Plus, the whole venue and stage is in germany, with mostly german audience and media attending there.

In my opinion english is incredibly easy to learn and people here are exposed to english media all the time. Another reason why I just can't stand that interviewer. His english is really unacceptable for an international event. Let him play the crowd during breaks and get someone else for interviews and comments...

Exactly Some people here seem to take it for granted that a live event is casted with an awesome livestream with foreign commentators that were flown in just for this purpose. For an ESPORTS event. It could have been much more likely to have german commentators or just some sort of audio livestream casts, which would have been much more economical. It's awesome what they are doing to make esports more popular and to give the audience a nice viewing experience. You shouldn't take all that effort for granted and instead support them with some nice comments, because they ARE going to read this thread for sure. Maybe not right after the event because they are too tired, but I'm sure they will at some point after.

Good grief, people. How hard is it to imagine that English might be easier to learn for people who already speak a Germanic than for people who only already speak Romances or Asian languages

Really? Because from what I've seen German is about as easy and simple as it gets when learning a language.

I was very surprised by this as well. If anything, I was afraid a Zerg wouldn't make it through.
