Dimaga 1-1 (0-2, 2-1. 2 Wins, 3 Losses total) 4. QXC 0-1 (0-2. 0 Wins, 2 Losses total) Group B: 1. Tester 1-0 (2-0. 2 Wins, 0 Losses total) 2. TheLittleOne 1-0 (2-1. 2 Wins, 1 Loss total) 3. Idra 1-1 (0-2, 2-1. 2 Wins, 3 Losses total) 4. Huk 0-2 (1-2, 1-2. 2 Wins, 4 Losses total) Huk is almost certainly eliminated now unless a miracle happens. Not quite sure how the math would work but I don't see any way he can come back. + Show Spoiler + If Huk beats Tester, tlo beats tester, and tlo beats Idra, then it would be a three way tie between tester idra and huk, allowing huk a way back in. Basically, Huk has to win one game to be in the running. Then, TLO, who is the only person who hasn't lost a game yet (after huk's theoretical win against tester), must win all his games to make the bottom three players even. TLO beating tester and idra is feasible, although Huk beating tester might be unlikely. Either way it could happen.

But yeah, I would've loved to see Sen and Cool in the tourny. That would've made an epic tournament into a legendary one.

Whoops I stand corrected. However, this game wasn't standard because of Tester's strategy, not because of any willingness on Idra's part to venture from his comfort zone.

In the match tonight vs WhiteRa he put down his pool at 13/14 every game. His 1 base baneling play is a direct response to WhiteRa 2 gate rushing/wall off each game. Protoss love to say "zerg like to fast expand and should be punished" but when it's a response to that it becomes cheese? In anycase I enjoyed the games, and game two WhiteRa responded very well.. I really think it was the first all air attack I've seen in SC2. I personally enjoyed watching IdrA excellent use and positioning of his Ultras! GG

Then you should watch this: On July 21 2010 13:20 Azarkon wrote: I just hope Dimaga plays Tester. Tester loves 2-gate and forge-expand. We can then see how he deals with Dimaga's banelings. Probably gonna deal with it via ForceFields. Which I didn't see WR make much use of vs. Dimaga. But I doubt they'll meet up. They're in different groups, and I'm almost certainly expecting White-rA and IntotheRainbow to top their group. I'm expecting Tester to definitely be one of the Top 2 in Group B. Now, with Huk at 2 losses, I think it's a toss-up between Idra and TLO. Before his seeing showmatches against White-rA and his match against Huk, I might have said Idra most certainly would have won vs. TLO, but now I'm not so certain. Those were both TvP matches though. I haven't seen any Phase 2 TLO TvZ. But regardless, I'm rooting for TLO all the way. Ultimate Babyface vs. Ultimate Heel.

GG Dimaga's 'response' seems pretty luck based to me, its success is based on how well his opponent walls off. And Dimaga does like to cheese, I don't think anyone can deny that, his games against intotherainbow showed zero-responsiveness to his opponent's play-style.

ITR plays the tournament from TheStC's account (and he plays SC2 as Terran). If only I knew his real Phase 2 account. Same goes for Tester, I'm not sure oGssSKS is his real Phase 2 account either, I can only see that on battle.net this account played as Protoss too. + Show Spoiler +

GG I think Dimaga had the correct response to white-ras build in all 3 games. That 2 gate FE is so so brutal for zergs, since it denies an early expo while P gets one up themselves. Being behind economically to a P is a horrible spot to be in. Their 2 base mass warpgate or colossus push is going to come before you can have an army to match it. That's why you see the zerg pros(Idra included) trying to go all-in to bust the front before they can get their econ advantage going. You have a better chance of winning by going all in and busting the front than you do trying to catch up economically and have an army out that matches theirs by the time the push comes.

I don't know what their real Asian ladder accounts are but having TheStC's name (who is a completely different player who has nothing to do with this tournament) in your table only creates confusion imo.

Really, only 3 days and I've seen all sorts of great play. I hope we're in for even better entertainment in what's to come.

instead of having Tester vs Huk & Whitera vs IntoTheRainbow tomorrow, you should have Tester vs TLO and qxc vs IntoTheRainbow. i say this because having huk and whitera again might spoil their final group standings and take the drama out of the groups. also you should consider casting both final matches from each group on one day instead of splitting them up over two. this would build up tension and drama as each group would be resolved then and there.

for instance if QXC manages to beat Dimaga we'll have Dimaga 1-2 QXC 1-2 WhiteRa 1-2 Into 3-0
