LzGamer played Masq in like 5 straight ladder games on his stream (and I think met him more often than that on other days). No one gave a poop then, even though he had a 2200 rating or something. Solid player. It'd be nice if more people were able to emerge onto the main stage instead of recycling the same 10-15 names in every tournament. I love WhiteRa and TLO as much as the next dude/dudess, but let's get serious. There are going to be millions playing this game.

There are some tournaments where anyone can join to make an name for themselves. You can't expect that invite based tournaments are going to invite random people from ladder just because they are doing ok.
In example right now GGI tournament is ongoing and I don't remember seeing Masq there with the other 128 people who joined. I apologize if I'm wrong and he is indeed playing there. Hope he makes a name for himself

uh, 4 AM, guess I'll wait. even if it fucks up my sleeping schedule.

I wished that Idra HuK game came first, even tho Ra vs Dimaga is gonna be great also.

Why not go to bed a few hours earlier and get up early? I find this works much better for me. Although tonight I'll probably stay up myself.

Yeah that makes it a bit tougher.

Well, good luck staying awake.

Not talking specifically about Masq. Nor do I think random people should get invites. But if you're beating 'top players' (named players) on ladder, even a few times, and are at the top of the highest division, you shouldn't be discounted. It's nice to refresh the list of people the community looks up to and reveres. Keeps it fresh, keeps it moving--you have to prove yourself to stay in it. That sort of thing.

I have no real complaints about how things have been organized. I think tournaments have been successful and extremely enjoyable to watch. But there's room for improvement. And obviously I'm aware that big flashy names attract viewers and so forth--and I love that (there are few things that feel similarly to watching Tester and TLO in the pit or whomever from the King of the Beta or the other beta focal points)--so I don't fault anyone for not including other names.

Guess I'm lucky to be in Brazil lately...
It will be 23pm here, perfect timing!

What is the time in Norway and Croatia when we have proleague games?
Here they are like 1am or 6am usually! (12h)
What are you tinkering about?

11 in the morning. right about wake up time. but enough about that, we don't want to derail the thread.

Go HuK!

EDIT: sometimes it's like 14:30h, depends on PL schedule.

That 2nd Idra vs Tester game was really reminiscent of his 4th game against White-Ra in the HDH Final where he was maxed while White-Ra was at 150 yet White-Ra, much like Tester's Collosi just burnt Idra's hydras to a crisp.

When retail goes live and things have settled down a bit, I'm sure top ladder players will get some attention from tournament organizers. Look at the TSL 2: ICCUP ladder ranking played a role there.

Unfortunately Blizzard's system isn't as solid as ICCUP's, but it's something.

Idra is trying to win with not enough information about the opponent and poor unit composition!
I hope he "patches" this fault he's having lately...

As a protoss player, I felt Tester was awe inspiring...minus the double cybernetics core and chrono boosting the wrong one ^_^ Can't wait to see his next few games.

Day9 if you can see this there's a slight typo for Day 4 where you have Huk vs. IntotheRainbow when it should be TheLittleOne. Or if I have this wrong, I know you have Huk twice for the second round of matches.

I'm so confused, where are you seeing this?
Whenever I encounter some little hitch, or some of my orbs get out of orbit, nothing pleases me so much as to make the crooked straight and crush down uneven places. www.day9.tv

Wow Tester is fucking impressive. Wow.

He seems to be on a whole 'nother level. So creative. Just little things like his clever building placements in game 2 really made me :O.

I like Idra's play, was disappointed by this series. Banelings seemed like an obvious choice for Game 1 to bust that wall and stream in with speedlings. And in game 2 he went pure hydra Hydra sucks the fat one vs HT and Colossi. What else was he expecting from Tester? =/

Zerg's army is so weak at the moment though It's so difficult to counter so much stuff. Watching Zergs get rolled by collossi and mech really makes me want to switch races I think its time for a change

I'm going to choose to believe that the double cyb core was a leadup to a phoenix rush.
