Maybe because he had important games coming up and didn't want to lose his edge with Zerg? idk. Really though, Terran mech would suit Idra *perfectly*. He can just play passively & macro up until he has a 200/200 mech army and roll over anything else in the game. I really don't think the problem is necessarily with Idra's play, but the race that he plays with. His passivity really sets him back with the weaker Zerg units. In that Q&A session with Artosis, IdrA admitted that he has nightmares from SC 1 playing Terran, and that he tried it in SC 2 but just wasn't comfortable playing it compared to Zerg. Maybe it's that mental block again.

In the GG World Cup that's also going on there are a couple of top Zergs. We'll see what they come up with come release. Idra is better than dimaga and on par with Sen sen having a bit better micro while idra seems to have the better macro

What I assume IdrA was doing was teching while stocking up on larva. There's no doubt that he should have been more proactive with the scouting, but pushing prior to 200/200 was not an option due to the number of forcefields, and narrow chokes, and pushing at 200/200 is pointless when you can stock larva to virtually have a 300/200 army. Based on the information that IdrA had, (again, he should have scouted the collosi earlier, and that was without a doubt his biggest mistake all game, and is the reason he lost so handily) he did everything fine. Also, I'm pretty sure that most of you claiming IdrA is a horrible zerg player probably couldn't even hit 150/200 in the time it took for IdrA to hit 200/200.

Because one player being better than 7 others tells us so much about race balance. Yeah why doesnt the balance team just do private tournaments between themselves and then buff and nerf accordingly to results. oO

Tester is a better player than Idra. Get over it. Stop making excuses for him. It isn't about Idra's attitude, or raging, or whatever... he is worse than Tester. How many invitationals will it take before you kids stop making excuses? People are just disappointed that Dimaga and IdrA aren't performing to their potential. If Andro (unknown Canadian player until now) could beat ogs.Cool during Phase 2, then IdrA and Dimaga could beat or at least give good fights to ogs.Tester and ogs.IntoTheRainbow. It's not like they're impossibly good. If you look at Tester's game he made mistakes, too. He's human, and he can be defeated. This mental block from top pros has to end.

idra played way too passive. but he did a great job in macro. very well done. toss army is beautiful and well designed. i wish zerg army was just as nice. currently zerg army is the crap.

edit: If he was playing confidently he wouldn't let the Toss untouched and unscouted till he got the magic 4 Colo with range out.

Big WhiteRa fan but I've seen the voidray thing way too much, although the first game was exciting because if micro'd right I think qcx could have taken the first game. but in the end I'm still cheering for intotherainbow =P
