Nice, congratulations to IdrA.

Totally deserves this after all he did during Beta.

On a side note, that fucking postman better arrive soon, I need my fix =\.

Ive always been an idra fan, but i was REALLY impressed by his play in this tourney because he showed he was capable of flexibility/innovation ON THE SPOT.

He adapted his strats to deal with all sorts of things. IMO the only reason IdrA has ever lost to toss in the beta was because he would just 1a2a3a his army at a toss army and forcefields would rape him, and he finally showed that he could realize his weakness and adapt (with the ultra to counter the ff).

Also i know he must have HATED never expanding before 25 supply but he made it work.

<3 <3 <3, Ive always thought you were stubborn, but you really showed that you are more than just mechanics today!

sorry for a noob question but were the cast of today played live on release servers, or were they pre-recorded?

I was EXTREMELY critical for the first round of games because the quality was sub par. But the games today totally changed my mind. Awesome tournament and congratulations to idra. Great result for the foreign community!

Grats IdrA!! Very patient and solid play in every game (cept maybe steps ). Felt like a little rage push after sniping the robo bay let you take the win.

Again props.

Thx to Day9 for the great tournament. You'll always be my favorite commentator, a SC2 analytical guru.

What an epic finale. Great work Day9 and everyone who helped set this fantastic show. I'm pretty shocked that there were zero stream issues throughout too (minus the superultraomfghigh in-game sounds for the first few games).

Just awesome!

How late was idra expanding when he was going gas first? It looked similar to sheth's ZvP guide where you get ling speed asap and then pull guys off of gas and expand. I like that build so much better than just 14 pool 16 hatch.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

Easily the highest quality tournament of the beta. It was not only ran professionally, but the game quality until the end was amazing.

IdrA!!! <3

Anywho. I went. Had a GREAT time with fellow SC2 nerds.

-Was surprised to meet a HOT asian girl that plays SC2 and can also draw very well.
-Wasn't surprised AT ALL about how AWESOME/NICE Day9's mom is.
-Met QXC (Awesome guy!), saw Machine and what appeared to be a couple other eG cats (they were playing SC2 on their laptops wayyyy before anyone even got their pre-ordered copies).

Event went very smooth without any problems. Lots of Pizzas/Sodas/Redbulls. Awesome staff and croud in general. Made a couple of friends, etc. Too bad I had to leave early because my ride couldn't stay until the end =(

PS: Anyone seen my epicsauce posters on the stream?! ^^
Dont quote me boy, cuz I aint saying shhh...

Amazing tournament, big congrats to IdrA. That last battle in game 5 was easily one of the most epic fights I've ever seen.

Yeah I agree.
The live audience, the caster, the observer, all the background work and of course the games. Practically perfect.
