But instead of PM'ing me over the course of days you didn't hear from JMS, you chose to keep complaining about our organisation. We expect some dedication from our players too, making everything run smoothly isn't merely an organiser effort. With the amounts of PM's we're receiving it's easy to forget things and that's why most players send a reminder or contact another organiser. Than again he seems to have lost all desire to play SC2 so who knows....

I don't know him but I hear he is well known and a very polite guy which I'm sure is true. However it is time to let me play please. The thing is i'm sure he'll whoop me I just want my fair chance to at the very least try and say I attempted.

How is it an insult? The tournament got out of proportion (in a good sense) with a huge prize pool and wasn't supposed to be this big. And since it got this big, a lot more players got invited. Everyone in the qualifiers should be happy to get a shot at such a huge prize pool, because if there wasn't any qualifiers, only 16 players would get a shot at it, but now, you have over 128+ players who could get a prize. Everyone should be considered lucky to get an invite AND an extended pool (it grew from 64 to 128). Plus, organizers have posted countless times daily on this thread and have been answering so many PMs. Remember, this event was made by the community (with no prior tournament experience, if I'm not mistaken) for the community.

You're right!!! Can you guys please remove "players like slush, dimaga, cauthonluck" so that they don't feel insulted?! Us, "gold level" players, won't mind it either! Kthxbai

I wouldn't call it an insult. Sure they will roflstomp their way to the ro64 and probably further but the point of the ro128 is to separate the good from the bad. I've also been surprised at the level of play in some of the games but it's a 128-man qualifier with open sign-ups and everyone claimed to be diamond league (most said top diamond). Not to say that any of them are bad players, maybe nerves or something else played a role, they'd probably still whoop me on the ladder. I think it's awesome to have open sign-ups so the up-and-comers can prove their mettle and have a shot to duke it out with the pros. As far as the invitational part, they could only choose 12, and would any two of us come up with the same 12 pros on our list of favorites? I don't think the pros who didn't get invites to the seeded spots should feel insulted, they get invited to countless other tournaments. They don't seem to feel like they're too good to rumble with the noobs, or else they wouldn't have signed up. If Dimaga comes in and says for himself that he is too good to play qualifier rounds them I guess I'll be wrong. I, for one, think it's a testament to their character, humility, and love of the game to want to sign up for a ro128 qualifier. Props to all those guys :D I do hate to see pros knocking eachother out in early rounds, like Azz v InControl (spoiler: one of them lost, EPIC game!). But the brackets were random (I'm pretty sure) so that happens I suppose.

That's like saying Flash and Jaedong shouldn't have to play lesser opponents to qualify for tournaments. I think you are idolizing these progamers a bit too much, thinking that they would be insulted by having to play unknowns. TLO was an unknown too before he started to bash some faces in SC2. We definately can't label one player "the best" so early in Starcraft 2's life so we're having broad qualifiers. Also the beta has just resumed, it's no surprise to see even the top players being a bit rusty. But ofcourse you are free to not watch the games. Anyways, I have just received confirmation from the oGs team that they will be participating in the qualifiers. I certainly hope they are worthy enough in your eyes Telcontar.Their team ofcourse has Tester already seeded in the RO16 main event, they're sending the following players to qualify: Cool, Ensnare, TheWind, Zenio, Gon. They will act as backups since too many games weren't played. I will update the brackets shortly with their names. They among with slackers will get two additional days to play their matches. We have decided we will only have the first and second round within the beta since the servers are still unstable and iCCup needs the time to try and convert all those games into VODs. If Blizzard decides to break replays again after the beta ended we would have no way to bring you those matches, so it's also a safety measure. I want to thank the players that already played their matches! If they already know their opponent for next round they have until beta closure to play their game and submit their replays. Players that don't know their opponent yet will know within two days while the remaining first round matches are being played. Sorry if people are inconvenienced by this, but we feel this is the most reasonable way of doing things.
