I like WL format, but I think the way PL is set up right now is perfect. If there were any more rounds of All-Kill style games then it would become more about who has the hottest Ace on their roster than about actual depth and team strength.

As it is the normal Bo5 w/race rules is a great format to determine which teams are the best and most well-rounded, but after a couple of rounds of it WL is a great way to mix it up for just a round. So I voted that I like the 'Traditional Format' the most, even though they both have their pros and cons and I believe they both have a place in PL.

Winners League is more fun to watch, but Proleague is more 'balanced'.

I love the WL format, but that can be because it's new. I think they should shift between the two. that would make a awesome format (aka rd.1 WL rd.2 traditional pl)

Personally, I like the old format. Like a few others have pointed out, there's much more exposure for lesser known players, and in the past some of those have ended up as incredible games. Not that I don't like the Winner's League, I think it's a refreshing breathe of fresh air for the professional SC scene, I just like seeing the newer guys come out more often.

Oh, and maybe this will give sAviOr his chance to destroy everyone in '09, and bust out an all-kill lol.

WL is exciting and awesome, but i'd like to see them switch back to the regular lineups eventually. The winner's format feels more like a showmatch, and like others are saying, it feels less 'balanced' in terms of ranking the teams.

They will switch back.

This season's PL consists of 5 rounds. the first two wounds were regular PL style, the current (third) round is WL, round 4 and 5 will be regular PL style again.

This allkill format is amazing, as it lets you see a ton more games with the best players.

It will probably get tiresome. It would be nice if they switched it up every round, as some others have suggested

winner's league is really, really awesome
more psychological depth, higher quality of games, and it's a joy to watch someone catch on fire and play at levels you would never them to play at

I don't know...all the matches go twice as long now...

I mean, I love starcraft, but wow 4 hours is a lot.

The only problem I have with Winners League is simply that I have no idea if my favorite players would get a chance to play. I watched a few games on the stream yesterday, and while I loved the games, I could only spend so much time watching them.

In the traditional format, I was able to take a break from studying/homework/whatever and tune in approximately when my favorites were playing, enjoy their games, and then go back to work. It became impossible for me to do that yesterday since I would basically have to watch the entirety of the event...and possibly not even see who I wanted to see!

Still, I voted Winners League, and I thought it was a nice change from the old routine, and as many others said before, it would be nice to have a mix of the two.

It is very interesting to see people try to predict the results of the WL format.

But the question is which do I prefer, and the answer for me is the traditional. WL certainly can be fun to watch, but I like to see all the matchups and get hyped for the event, and I can study all the matchups and whatnot. Also I like how in the traditional format the teams are forced to use all the races.

But any format gets tiresome after you see it all the time. I wonder if all these people will still vote WL after months of matches as opposed to just a week of them. Probably about 50-50.

Winners League is very exciting and first few matches were great but if it was for a long time span I think most of us would get tired. You can't be watching 4 hours of starcraft every day. And I am sure they will be even longer matches... Also, again as someone mentioned above we can't really see the teams depth as in the end best players on the team end up playing most of the games (+ Show Spoiler +
Luxury for KTF, Leta for OGN
).

It is nice to watch it for now but I will definitely look forward back to the 'old' proleague. Still I have voted winners league

I prefer the new WL. With no 2v2 matches in the traditional PL anymore, the new format makes sense and is really intense.

I think I'm biased though, since almost every time I watch PL, I'm always eager to see the 4th set, and it ends 3-0

i say winners league, its so much more intense

i should clarify i prefer WL, and the other format was referring to old PL, it guranteed 4 players from each team

edit: forgot about 3-0's nvm
