TLO Bomber was close though, so not as much of an 'upset' as some of the sweeps and near sweeps. Unless 'biggest' means 'most exciting' in which case it was.

I don't like it when there's this many upsets in a weekend, degrades their significance and I'm not one of those who thinks "omg lel koreans losing I just got a boner"

Voted ABomB vs Bbyong. After that comes SortOf vs Taeja.

Bomber vs TLO was no upset (bomber law) but the fact that Teaja ( in my opinion best player of 2013) lost against a weak europe zerg is just ridicilous :o Welmu vs Life wasnt that a big of a deal cause Welmu is a really suprising player and Sjow vs Life was the worst thing in sc2 history maybe, so Welmu vs Life is nothing compared to that...
Zanster vs HerO? hmm not sure about that .. just not sure

I think Tlo vs Bomber, just for being the biggest story of an upset. However I'm more surprised by Zanster and Abomb.

As a CJ fan i would add that everyone except hero are so inconsistent that Bbyong losing to a foreinger isn't that much surprising , even though he shouldn't lose to them .

I don't understand why people would think Major beating Bbyong is such a big upset. He actually beat polt 3:2 on IEM qualifier and TvT is his best match up, i would say Bbyong is inferior to polt TvT wise.

ABomb defeating a Code S Korean. That is incredible.

ABomb is a Protoss who defeated a Terran. I don't think that is impressive at all.

Likewise, the biggest upsets all apparently happened to Terrans, Bomber, Taeja.

Wow, I am sooooo shocked.

I think he meant everyone in CJ team is inconsistent aside from herO, instead of all koreans on IEM aside from herO.

TLO vs Bomber was maybe the most exciting or notable or whatever but just on namesake alone I feel like Abomb over Bbyong was the most surprising.

I don't think Bomber's law is a thing anymore. He has been too consistent for it to still exist.. If you still want to keep it a thing then you can honestly say every player is affected by Bomber's law.

Sure great names fell this past weekend and lesser names prevailed, but why this was so has very little to do with the game itself. A player's state of mind is not a measurable variable, but it is always the most formidable one.

not sure about upsetness (is that even a word?) but I found TLO vs Bomber was the most entertaining to watch. very back and forth.

I agree, SortOf 3 - 1 Taeja is way more ridiculous.

TLO is one of the most consistent European Zergs (honestly, by pure results, with his number of Ro4s/Ro8s last year, he was probably 'the best' European Zerg), and their series was still extremely close.

SortOf vs Taeja didn't even go to Game 5, SortOf is a good Zerg but far less consistent than TLO, and Taeja won the most tournaments last year out of all progamers. That's pretty ridiculous, tbh.

Not sure how your comments are related.

He said he doesn't like upsets; you said a certain match was an upset. Misquote?

so many upsets, it was hard to decide which one. Life losing is also an upset but in the end i went for Taeja but I'm not too suprised seeing as he's sort of grown tierd of pro-gaming and wants out. To truely master this game you need passion as well as skills

Yeah i agree, I mean if you go on twitch and see Taeja's stream, hes just faffing about playing 2v2's most of the time toss and zerg and then sometimes terran, he's slacking, that's why he is losing too much. And for a person who won 5 championships in one year, Taeja is the last person that should be fucking complaining about game balance, he won so much yet he still complains, he's being a bloody hypocrite, i thought everyone would be complaining about Taeja in that regard (although they didn't, good on them)

It WAS his hobby, he won against Jaedong in WCS S2 and got the champion and got top 4th place in Blizzcon, sure he hasn't made it out in a lot of group stages, but eveybody has bad luck sometimes

UMMMM, DUE to the fact that 80%-90% of finals in 2013 (apart from Naniwa i guess) are all koreans while most foreigners dont even make it out on group stage (either round 1 group stage or round 2); And that Naniwa is the ONLY foreigner to go to Blizzcon and still lost in the first round....???? ITS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
