Yes I know he won the LG 3D thing but lets be honest he's not even in Code A and his path to LG3D wasn't exactly the hardest road. 2-1 Taeja 2-1 Younghwa 2-1 Smart 3-2 sC Real impressive. Yes I've seen him play, but a few good games don't make a champion, I'm sure his win percentage looks impressive to everyone who doesn't realize that this guy's TLPD 20-6 record would look a lot less impressive if you included all his failed GSL qualifier runs. Yes he's good vs Terran (in bo1s), but that's not going to save him when Huk, Naniwa, HayprO is on the menu. I would even bet that TLO's off-style is going to perform well against him. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this guy does terrible.

I never said TLO would win, but I fully expect DRG to Zig and TLO to Zag and that ends up in a not 100% win chance for this neo-Sea[Shield]

DRG is good but...still hasn't made it into Code A. Plenty of people on that list have...including MVP who, you know, WON CODE S TWICE. I dunno if MVP is super out of shape or something, but damn, I really think people are overrating DRG a bit.

Is there something I'm missing? His Liquipedia is almost empty, I don't think I've ever seen a TL post about him until this week, and I've never seen him play an anything before. He's going against people who compete consistently in Code S, people who have crushed previous MLG events (Naniwa, Dallas, 26-2), and people who have been competing in live tournaments for ages. Even if he wins, it's going to be anything but easy.

I say its no different in this tournament a good protoss will kick him to the curb. Edit: Why the hell does everyone in the GSTL keep sending out terrans against this guy? Im actually astonished when i see them send out terran after terran to get slaughtered.

DRG is really good versus Protoss and being good in the team league suggests he'd be amazing in the MLG format as both give minimal preperation for specific players. I love when dumb people just blindly assume things based on no evindence that because he lost one ZvP that any Protoss can beat him even though he is 6-2 vs Protoss beating MC, Hero and Younghwa and from all sources is considered sick good, Huk said as much on SOTG. Koreans always own at LAN's, it's the height of esports stupidity to bet against Koreans, especially when they're really, really fucking good like DRG is.

Is that the only source you people can cite for thinking DRG is going to easily win MLG? Is he just demolishing all 3 races in such a convincing manner that the GSL is the only event you need to watch to know that he's going to take the whole MLG with ease? Is his play in the GSL so good that you completely ignore the champions he's going to have to go up against?

Man, I stop paying attention to starcraft for a few weeks and suddenly there is a new flavor-of-the-week getting the majority vote. Sorry, not gonna jump on the bandwagon, like I didn't with mondragon, thorzain, bomber, or anyone else. IdrA for life.

"If I had to be honest, I haven't paid any attention to pool play. I'm preparing to face the Korean players since no matter what, I'm going to win all my games and make it to the Round of Four as the first place in my group. " - DongRaeGu. That attitude in a group with HuK and Naniwa might hurt him a little. His ZvT is godlike so I think he'll beat TLO, though depending on what TLO's "new style" is it might throw DRG off. Then there's haypro who I feel can beat him but won't. I'm not sure what Haypro's ZvZ is like but I'm pretty sure it's quite good. HuK is going to take 1 in his group. The rest I'm not sure though I think Haypro will be at the bottom

Idra said that this was bs and that MLG Columbus was only zerg favoured because 3 Korean Zergs were sent over which skewed the results (he said Slush was the main anomaly). This time, GSL sends 3 Kr Terrans over, as well as having Ganzi and Rain in the open bracket, and omfg. I can't wait to see bfh in TvP.
