I dont need more tournaments but it would be nice if they get bigger and better organized. More viewers is what is important and i dont think more tournaments would attract more viewers but better tournaments could.

I don't have time to keep track of the tourneys (but I just don't have alot of time to do anything else than play and watch GSL, this is alot already !), yet I voted that there should be more.

Do you think that pool players keep track of every pool tournament on the planet ? That poker players keep track of all the poker tourneys ?

Nono, they don't. They keep track and/or participate into smaller tournaments near their home place, and keep track and/or participate in the "big ones" - just like it should be with e-sports, IMHO

Well there ARE to many to keep track of, but I don't think thats a bad thing for the masses, it's only bad for the small tournaments which don't get the attention they deserve.

Personally, I like the amount there are now. If there were more, I'd feel like maybe I'm missing something, and if there were less, I'd feel like I wouldn't get to pick & choose which ones I want to watch. There are some events I just don't want to watch that much, but with that said, the ones I do watch are so much better for that reason.

I love watching the Events..... I say you learn a lot from people who play and watch the strategies they use. But that's my opinion. >.>

I do find it hard to keep track, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I like always having some sort of content at my finger tips to watch in my down time when there is nothing live going on.

However, I voted that the number of events right now is fine, but oddly enough I want there to be MORE events. Here is the reasoning for my decision.

Right now in SC2, there are a limited number of teams, and a limited number of players. If there were more events then many of them would be filled with people who don't stand much of a chance versus the top players, which in turn makes the tournament rather boring. I think the number of events needs to stay in line with the number of players competing at the top levels, that way those top players do not get spread too thinly throughout tournaments, reducing the overall competition, and consequently lowering the spectator's experience quality.

One thing that I think would be great for eSports is further merging of the Korean and foreigner scene. The Korean scene is full of so many players who are not top Korean players, but who would potentially be top players in the foreign scene. Adding the Korean player base to the foreign player base would definitely cause huge growth in terms of the number of competitive players, which, in my opinion, is a great opportunity for more and more events to arise, and eSports to grow as a whole.

Of course there's too many to keep track on all of them, but if we'll take soccer for example - there's no need to watch every league and every game. People will sort out the pro stuff and the stuff they like. So, even tho it's impossible to keep track on everything, there's no harm in more events.

I think alot of tournaments is fine, but I'd rather have one big tournament everyone is tuning into like the gsl, than small chunks of garbage nobody cares about. in the west I'm interested in mlg and dreamhack, but next to that I'm not so much interested in sc2 tournaments in the west. I'll continue to watch gsl though :D

I dont even watch NASL and IPL like I thought I would, the time I invest in GSTL and GSL is more than enough

Although I will go into M.I.A. mode for a weekend when Dreamhack / MLG is on.

So many tournaments really help get SC2 "out there". But the quality is somewhat sparse and it becomes less special with all the tournaments.

I thought this was an interesting poll, because although I'd agree that there can never be enough events -- I strongly feel that it's that sort of frequency we need to gain SC2 more and more popularity and activity -- however, it is difficult to keep up with all of the results if you're also concerned with practicing and improving yourself. I think there are tools that help combat this, such as the tournament round-up threads we often see. So, for those events you simply don't have the time to watch, it's always easy to see how well your favorite players are doing.

i picked "too many" out of jelousy (bw T__T) but as long as those tournaments are good then there is no problem, the more the better, for both players and viewers
I could get a more coherent article by gluing a Sharpie to a dog's cook and letting it hump the page.
