Koreans didn't play well at all on Saturday. Not saying the Caucasians didn't very well; just that the Koreans did not bring their A-game.

But here are some NOTABLE games in my opinion. qxc vs Genius - Entire series NesTea vs Goody - Game 1 Ret vs Naniwa - Game 2 (LOLOL Broodlords?) Idra vs Cruncher - Game 2 Nada vs TLO - Game 2 Haypro vs Kas - Game 1. And many games from Day 1 and Day 2.

But honestly, every match this weekend was worth watching. Thanks TeamLiquid! Close second is probably Mondragon's roach bust. So much for the "IMBALANCED!" strategy. Idra could learn something from those games

Adel's play was beautiful. Mondragon games were rly great to watch. But i just feel like that Toss was being to greedy, trying to tech 3ways/taking 3 bases/pressuring at the same time...you just can't do it, even in PvZ. Idra vs Cruncher was depressing to say the least. And the game was the definition of imbalance in 1.2 (whether 1.3 fixed anything is yet to be seen). Game 2 was great play by idra. Game 1 was great play by idra, outplaying his opponent on every turn. Remaxing 3x times at the end, and still couldn't take out the deathball (catching lone voids with corrupts, rebuilding them, loosing all again, rebuilding lings to try to stop it). Having whole map, with 95% covered in creep. vs Turtling Toss, with 2 entrances to his base...nothing he could do to trade armies before 200/200. Game3....demonstrated how broken FF are in early game. And Cruncher used FF even better then MC, imo. Isolating those 5-10 roaches into 1, unable to move or shoot, beautiful (yet broken ). Idra was fairly prepared for the push, couldn't do much more to prepare without sacrificing economy and loosing the same way he did in G1.

Nada vs TLO was fun as well. Though it was more like TLO vs TLO. He really couldn't resist getting ghosts, battlecruiser and stuff. But fun nonetheless. Didn't like Crunchers play, even though he won. He just did those boring pushes. Though his forcefields were outstanding.

His overconfidence going into the cruncher match and his defeat was still a glorious thing to watch unfold. He might use the embarrassment as a time to reflect on the mindset he had before he went into the game, and become a realistically confident player instead of one who says silly things like "he's just going to 4gate" on a public interview. I'm torn though because the one who says silly things like that is far more entertaining.

I'm torn though because the one who says silly things like that is far more entertaining. He's been like that a while. Always overconfident, blaming balance issues on his losses, crying that his race is always underpowered, wishing he could get a koreaplasty... Things haven't changed much, especially with it being an online tournament, I'm not really surprised by anything he does or says, because it isn't much worse than anything previously said by him. One thing is for sure though, wherever there is IdrA, there's sure to be a lot of people watching... Not because they enjoy his playstyle, or because they are a fan, but because they can't wait for shit like what happened yesterday to happen.

Basically his plan was to come back here and own up all the tournaments, we will wait to see how he does at MLG but i think that he thought the west was going to be a "walkover" compared to korea and now since hes been back he hasnt been doing wellat all lol Well, he won some tournament in Arizona. And just being kicked out here in the TSL doesn't mean that much. In any way, going back to Korea wouldn't make life easier for him, he's not really more consistent there than here, considering he just got back. I just think IdrA will never change his mindset, so either he'll have to change races or something noteworthy must happen in HotS. Until then, I can definitely see IdrA doing only mediocrely, not necessarily because his balance complaints are entirely true but because they really damage his practice attitude as he said himself.

For those going with adel vs mvp, adel didn't really play very well at all. His macro was quite atrocious, and could have played a great deal better had he not been floating 1500 minerals constantly and forgetting pylons/gateways every 60 seconds. If he avoided those huge mistakes, it would have made it look one sided and boring. MvP just refused to get upgrades, which made the game a hell of a lot closer than it should have been.

I still feel like game quality, qxc is highest but meh. I really disliked how poorly MVP microed in the set on Metal and so i can't believe that series is rated highest for "quality of game" Guess it was a pretty sick comeback though. And i guess im biased towards qxc...

Thorzain played amazing against fruitdealer, he deserved the victory. Ditto for QXC and AdelScott. And for those who hate IdrA that's fine but that series was nooooowhere near as good as qxc/genius or adelscott/mvp. The only interesting part of that series was game 2.

1) The upset factor - I don't think anyone genuinely expected MVP to lose this 2) The tactics employed by adelscott - the build he used isn't something we see all that often, most games revolve around lots of collosus and/or templar - so it was pretty interesting to see the mass upgrades and warpgate units I'm surprised so many people voted the the Idra vs Cruncher series, it was pretty boring. Game 1 - Protoss turtles up in a very easy to defend position and masses an unstoppable army. Idra doesn't respond perfectly and loses to it. Game 2 - Ok sure, this one was pretty awesome. During game 1 I was talking to a friend saying "If he would just go for some kind of fast hydra drop he coulda probably won that". He did it in this game and dominated. Game 3 - Pretty standard protoss all in. Frustrating to watch, I'm so bored of this style of play.
