Hrm, I didn't vote - you need one more option :

It's butch ugly as all hell, but it's also vital to TL culture so wtf... live with it. You can't change the game now. Besides, TL never struck me as the sort of site that gives a flying fuck what other people think, nor does it seem the type of place to go for whatever is "cool" with the kids just to fit in.

That said, probably the only thing worse might be "wolf sweater" motif, lol.

Ugh, I'm sorry, but that banner is just crappy fantasy art. I really don't think that an update to help make the site more enticing to new SC2 players is at all a putting aside of the tighter niche that TL had w/ SC1. This site does feel very dated, but the quality still makes up for it. Really, with a new game people should be ready to embrace change like this.
But hey, this is only coming from a gamer who has taste. :-P

Grant it I may be somewhat new to this site - been on here for the past year - however only registered recently - to comment on the pony's as a logo - doesn't seem to fit the theme or dynamic of Team Liquid , I really don't get it nor does it look particulary spectacular

voting from personal experience, i think it makes TL unique and is kind of a trademark of TL, however, when i first joined TL over a year ago i didnt like the horses.

so i voted "Im used to it, but it may look bad to new users"

I am mostly curious if the votes were heavily skewed towards changing it if TL would actually change it. It's almost like the Oracle in the Matrix. Just an illusion of choice.

ok 2 poll results are basically neutral at 34%, 44% don't want it to change. and the other 22% want it gone.
But since one of the neutral answers thinks it may be bad for new users we can add that to 38% for 'get rid of it'. And since the other neutral option doesn't care either way then we can change it and 56% of TL will approve.

with nice management and good skills u can change a banner, logo or an entire webpage without lose the spirit.

On the one hand, it is classic. It says "TL.net" like nothing else.

On the other hand, it's confusing and really just kind of bizzare for new people who come to the website. It has nothing to do with the content whatsoever, and tells you nothing about the website at all. In fact, it's actually somewhat misleading; at first glance I would take it for some kind of Lord of the Rings or horse-racing/raising fan website.

Personally, I think it should be kept in some form, but that it could be...I don't know, spruced up a bit. Made cooler.

Or you could keep it the way it is but add a Starcraft logo or image somewhere at the top so new people will know what's up. But I don't think it should be totally removed.
