just joking

China has its own league and scene they are pro's in all reality. With the lag issues that seperate china and russia from the rest of the world (most of the time) we just have very seperate communities.

Nony better train at least some games with no lan lat and/or extra high latency to make sure his micro and storm timing aren't off. oystein played f91 is severe lag a few weeks back and he still teched muta and sniped temps like nothing.

Also his builds were 3 hat muta -> 5 hat pure hydra. and 9poolspeed -> 2 hat muta. With lag it is impossible to dodge scourge with sairs.

I don't know if you guys realize but f91 does use lag to his advantage.

Just one mistake. F91 is the type of player who depends heavily on his micro. He can't control mutas well to take out SCVs or scourges if the lag is too severe. Terran players will have big advantage as they won't have to worry about F91's Muta harassment.

whether there's lag (vs strelok) or not (vs idra) he still did waaaaaay more lurker builds than a normal zerg. his muta games were relatively weak, lag or not. so drop the future tense and watch some vods

People should stop emphasizing the whole "Korea" thing. You have to realize that F91 and other top foreign pros aren't just people who play this casually, there's a reason they're called "pros:" they also spend 8+ hours a day practicing, and Lx and Pj used to be on Korean B-teams also, and they're on the same level as F91. Idra had the fabled "Korean training" but still couldn't hold a candle to F91, and he's an ACTIVE Korean B-teamer, as opposed to Nony who recently (retired?)

Just because someone's in Korea doesn't mean they're better or have more experience. No one can deny that as a nation, Korea is vastly superior to anyone else at Starcraft. But that doesn't mean that if someone went to Korea, they'd magically inherit the abilities of S-class gamers...

Um, no ones chalking improvement to the magical aura of being in Korea. They're chalking it up to following strict training regiments on a professional StarCraft team. That's much different than being an amatuer.

It has yet to be proven that the korean approach to starcraft actually works with non-koreans.

There are amatuers that are better then any of the players who have been or are in korea also.

I agree with you sheep. People need to quit overrating the korean experience. Now nony is a different story then idra anyway, he went to korea as one of the best outside of korea anyway. I'm sure we will see more map dependent results then we have seen so far in nony vs f91.

Good Luck Nony!

what? did you just mash the keys randomly when you published this masterpiece of nonsense, or what?

don't use labels like 'the korean approach' or 'the korean experience' to hide your meaning, even though i don't think you know what you're obfuscating; there is no magical approach, it's just rigorous practice, and to think that one particular culture will benefit from rigorous practice when another wouldn't is pretty stupid. rigorous practice is how every professional suceeds and excels at every sport.

even more stupid is somehow using the debatable success of foreign progamers in korea as being evidence towards rigorous practice not working for foreigners. just rofl man

there are a lot of them and a small percentage will be bad mannered. they stick out

VOD probably will be up about 15 hrs after the cast. At least that was about the amount of time it took last time.

Since you're reading this, I have to ask. Do you think the lag will affect your match with F91? I know this was an issue both against Jianfei and against Strelok. And since I'm guessing you're back in the US now, the lag issue really could come into play.

I've been refreshing every 30-60 mins for the past 8 hours.... Why are VODs taking so long to be put up?

i'm thinking this one's gonna be very close. nony does have an ace up his sleeve though, he has 14 replays of f91 to watch from TL alone, and i'm thinking that f91 hasn't seen him play probably since that tournament in china, correct me if i'm wrong but there are no replays available of nony in the last 6 months(at least). also nony's mechanics should be good enough to take advantage of the fact that, like chill is always pointing out, f91 for some reason persists with suboptimal builds, maybe nony can show us why the koreans stopped using those a year or two back..

on the other hand i dont think any foreigner has the understanding of the game flow, strategy, army positioning, tactics and excellent in-game decision making that f91 has shown in the games that mattered.

i'm gonna say 4:3 for either nony or f91
