This game will probably be more entertaining than it seems on paper. TT has played better than he is given credit for, clawing his way through the loser’s games to get the second spot in what was one of the hardest, if not the hardest, group in the round of 32. He won the loser’s final against midas no less and has shown surprising staying power by winning games, pretty or not, when they count.
[Indent]Oversky, on the other hand, gayed out both of his opponents with all in zergling builds to steal the winner’s spot in his group. I am not impressed in the least and feel he doesn’t deserve his spot, but I am in the minority. The professionals here at TL seem to think he is shaping up and simply putting his ling micro skills, refined from very respectable 2v2 play in Pro League, to work. In any case, TT has shown very decent PvZ throughout his career, which may force oversky to build his tech tree past a spawning pool. We shall see.

FireBatHero is on a TvT tear, flying through both Boxer and Canata in the group stages. He’s looking sharp and beating good players. Oov’s recent performance has been spotty. His weakest games have taken place in the early stages of both major tournaments. Savior mashed his face up in the first OSL round along with JulyZerg in MSL groups shortly after. Despite having no answer whatsoever to beastly Zergs, Oov has still played some solid TvP/T in Pro League, so don’t count him out. He does love Oov after all. Hopefully we will be treated to a tight and action packed game. This game will set the tone of the next round for the winner, so it is very important to both of them.

Hwasin has long been seen as a one match-up wonder, knowing only how to play TvZ. However, he has been playing exceptionally well in Pro League lately and hasn’t played a single Zerg in a while. Recently running over Nada and Anytime in solid matches, he also has a first round OSL win against Darkelf. Though he has suffered a very recent TvT loss in the Ace match against Lecaf, losing to forGG is nothing to be ashamed of. I still don’t believe in his new found vT/P skills, but you can’t argue with results. He’s been winning... a lot. Sheis also has very strong TvT, beating Silent_Control recently in PL and making it out of a first round MSL group with GoodFriend and Xellos.
It’s pretty clear that Hwasin’s recent winning streak and the calibre of his beaten opponents are far more impressive than Sheis’. However, they are team mates who train together a lot, so all bets are off.

Easily the most anticipated match of the day. Bisu is a monster, nuff said. He has trounced two top tier Terrans in Nada and Darkelf in the first round of the OSL and aside from a lame 3 hatch ling loss from Oversky, made a joke of his MSL group. Light has also been playing well, defeating midas and TT (big deal :p ) in his MSL group. Pro League performance doesn’t seem to be an indicator for this one seeing as neither of these two hot shots have won a single game in this match-up all season.
It goes without saying that Bisu has the support and confidence of the majority of fans, but this is yet another match between team mates and Light is a strong player, regularly serving as his teams Ace in the recent past. This match should be entertaining and tight. I’m really looking forward to it.
Enjoy the games and as we enter the next round of the tournament, be sure to check up on the format in jkillashark’s results and standings thread.
