First of all, making salaries/streaming revenues public is not especially professional and 2500 dollars is a pretty ok income for a player that yet had to prove his worth in SC2. Second, when he joined TL he always spoke about his desire to learn English, travel, interact with the foreign community ... and now it all sounds as if everything just has been a matter of contract obligations. I certainly wish him all the best for his future, but making him an honorary member in TL is rather unjustified. I hope that in the future TL will go back to its roots and try to develop foreign talent. I honestly think its Sea's thing what income is ok for him. But I agree with you second point, the whole thing here sounds to me as if both sides didn't had a clear image of the contract. Sounds like there were a lot of "little" things in the dark (like the streaming thing and stuff maybe, we don't know whats true and I dont wanna guess around ^^). Anyway, no bitching around without knowledge (even with no bitching..)... good luck Sea ![]()

Good Luck Sea. You were never my favorite but you touched my heart when you entered TL for the first time long time ago and interacted with us. Wish you the best!

Yes I read the whole thing. Just wanted to make sure that Sea lost interest in SC2. Please don't go around warning everyone, don't be so quick to judge. you ask if he went to a major tournament, but if you read the article theres a lot of talk in there about him having gone to that one major tournament hence, you either didnt read it, or you are godawful at reading

Understandable if you have played the same game for 9 years. No surprise if players like Bisu or Calm join him soon :/ Good Luck Sea. You were never my favorite but you touched my heart when you entered TL for the first time long time ago and interacted with us. Wish you the best! Wish you all the best from now on Sea, hope you find a job that make u happy ![]() SC2 is like a decease for many bw players and fans and also for the sport in Korea. It comes promoted very well as a something supperior, a fabricated RTS king, only to assimilate the greatest esport called starcraft and to expand the money income, decreasing the value as a sport. Result is lamentable when the best players in that sport start to lose interest and retire from that "bright future" or "new begining" that blizzard talked so much shit about. Just look at the crowd at Last BW OSL final and to the one from the first SC2 OSL final. SC2 has no power where the passion of BW were burning so strong. So FU blizzard for killing that art and culture!

He said he earned about 2,500,000 won ($2500 USD?) monthly, but it was a pure grind since he didn't enjoy the game at all. He's going to stream BW until he goes to the army. He yells out some random stuff everytime someone throws money at him. I guess some people find that entertaining. I thought it was disgusting. Afreeca is basically a livestream 4chan. It's filled with cam whores (literally, girls do stuff n viewers give them money), cheaters like savior playing in a tournament, and retired pros doing various things like dancing w/ just underwears just to earn money. It's a shit hole. Oh, and he earned about $200 already. That's a tad harsh. The girls simply sit there, talk to the chat, play music and earn money. With a phrase like that you make it seem like some sort of smut website. Cheaters like savior were barred from entering the serious afreeca tournaments (like the ssl) - hell, savior is apparently even banned from listing his stream as a starcraft stream. Retired pros and amateurs alike treat afreeca for what it is. Entertainment. The fact is people love to interact with streamers and watch them do goofy stuff. If a girl dressing up in a banana costume singing 홍콩반점 or larva driving his chair like a motorcycle is weird to you then... Welcome to asia I guess? Dismissing it as the 4chan of streaming seems like misunderstanding an entire culture. I should point out that afreeca is looking to expand internationally next year(English website, support, everything). Their model works extremely well in Korea so considering international starcraft2 viewers' usual generosity I'd say it has extreme potential if they manage to pull it off correctly.

Many more people state it is the other way around (the way like I personally see it as well) that SC2 isn't as fun as BW if you played BW before. Do not understand me wrong, I do not say that SC2 is a bad game, but much more that BW is just the best RTS out there. Yes probably SC2 Fans who didnt play BW at all cannot understand it, but please respect this. So if you was a fan of Sea (and not just a fan of the idea of a KeSPA Pro on a foreign team) then you hopefully understand his decission and maybe just maybe take 10 minutes of your life and watch him play a Broodwar game when he streams on Afreeca. And maybe just maybe you will see how much more fun BW is for someone who actually love that game, just like Sea probably does. I am happy for Sea that he is not forced to do something he does not want to. Keep it up bro and GLHFGG in Army service ![]() BW just seems to have a bigger wow factor, like when you see flash play perfect mech tvp and splits the map and chokes them out and always times his goliathes perfectly for carriers(its like he doesnt even have to scan or scout to know when carriers are coming) it was just more epic and cut throat and the shitty ui made controlling 200/200 armies the way they did was so so so impressive(Late game SK terran vs mass base defiler ultra zerg with drops and nydus everywhere). Bring back plague and irradiate!!!!!!
