What's On Stream

Main: Just Ended: (P)Alicia vs (T)TaeJa
Premium: All Done!

Live Updates

22:38 GMT (+00:00): TaeJa 4-2 Alicia. On Antiga, TaeJa bunkered Alicia's natural to delay the expansion, then worked on his upgrades as he added lots of marines. TaeJa maintained a pretty big population lead and teched to ghosts as Alicia added charge and +2 but got his robo sniped. TaeJa took his third, then loaded a doom drop in Alicia's main. He used excellent medivac positioning to unload every single unit, and even though he lost his medivacs, his barracks units did a ton of damage. His reinforcements marched across the field, landing EMPs on Alicia's archons and unpowering the forge. Alicia was forced to GG, and Taeja claimed victory at the MLG Summer Arena!

22:20 GMT (+00:00): Alicia 2-3 TaeJa. On Daybreak, TaeJa went 1 rax double OC after a bizarre barracks cancel. Alicia had expanded before cyber core, and added six more gateways. TaeJa couldn't find the forward pylon, and only had three bunkers ready. Alicia's forcefields locked the SCVS out from repairing any of the bunkers, and easily forced his way through to take the game.

22:04 GMT (+00:00): TaeJa 3-1 Alicia. On Metropolis close air, TaeJa popped out an early pair of hellions after marauders, and put on varying kinds of early pressure, including floating a factory into Alicia's main and building hellions there. He caught Alicia's army out of position to force a cancel of the third as it was nearly complete, thhen dropping in the main to snipe that nexus, cancelling it as it was rebuilt and then forcing yet another cancel on Alicia's third. TaeJa maxed out with vikings and ghosts supplementing his army, and crushed through Alicia's army to win the game and get on the edge of victory.

21:43 GMT (+00:00): TaeJa 2-1 Alicia. On Entombed vertical spawns, TaeJa built his first rax slightly forward but totally out of Alicia's scouting pattern. He abandoned the ruse shortly after, transitioning to a standard 1rax FE into a very fast third. TaeJa attacked with his first handful of marines, killing a sentry and a few probes at Alicia's natural. Alicia counterattacked weth sentries and stalkers off 3 gates and 2 bases, force fielding the SCVs off the bunkers. TaeJa committed fully to defense with four bunkers as he teched up, then turned to his usual drop play as he teched to ghosts. Alicia's HTs had storm well before the ghosts entered the field, which let him defend his third comfortably. TaeJa pulled lots of SCVs and attacked once his ghosts joined the army, eventually exhausting Alicia's templar energy to break through and take the game.

21:21 GMT (+00:00): Alicia 1-1 TaeJa. On Shakuras close air, Alicia rushed for DTs with warp prisms. TaeJa started a turret at his front in plenty of time, but TaeJa didn't have any scans for the DTs in his main, and took a ton of damage. TaeJa loaded up a pair of drops but lost them all for almost no damage in Alicia's main, and each player took their third. Alicia started colossus production and teched to blink and high templar, trying to drop Alicia with much less success than the previous game. The players both worked on their upgrades and attempted drops without accomplishing much. Alicia grouped up his army and attacked TaeJa's natural and third, forcing a lift on the third and pinning TaeJa in his natural. TaeJa busted out with the help of some nice EMPs, but his economy was crippled compared to Alicia's. Alicia patrolled the middle of the map until his extended thermal lances finished, wiping out TaeJa's attempt at a fourth. The players engaged by the northern watchtower, and TaeJa pulled out a surprising victory with the help of EMP. He pushed forward to Alicia's side of the map, attacking into the third, where he lost his entire ground army. Alicia's archons and chargelots chased TaeJa back to his own side of the map, but lost his fourth as he started to move across the map. TaeJa finally had the economic advantage for the first time all game, with two mining bases to one, but his army was significantly weaker. Alicia charged across the map to take out TaeJa's fourth, then ran over TaeJa's army despite big EMPs to even the series.

20:54 GMT (+00:00): TaeJa 1-0 Alicia. On Cloud Kingdom, TaeJa proxied marauders between Alicia's main and natural. He couldn't get a get a bunker up at Alicia's ramp, and but some great micro let him take down Alicia's army and a few probes. He followed up with a reaper to kill some more workers as he built up defenses at home. Alicia responded by attacking with stalkers to heavily supply cap TaeJa, who didn't have any addons at home. TaeJa kept up a little pressure in Alicia's base to force warpins there as he cleaned up at home, but Alicia did get his expansion down comfortably. TaeJa attacked Alicia's natural once his medivacs arrived, dropping with one in the main to kill yet more workers. His next attack was repelled by the first colossus. but his viking production had already started. He continued with the multi-pronged drops to pressure Alicia's economy, pinning Alicia at home while TaeJa took his third. Alicia teched to blink, using it to try to end the drop threat, but couldn't secure his third, and still TaeJa continued with the drop harass. TaeJa sniped one of Alicia's forges to solidify his tech advantage, and worked towards ghosts. Alicia attacked into TaeJa's third, forcing a lift, but lost his whole army in the exchange, promptly GGing.

20:30 GMT (+00:00): Clutch interviewing TaeJa, with an Alicia interview soon to come.

20:07 GMT (+00:00): Taeja 2-0 First. On Metropolis cross positions, TaeJa 1rax FE'd and delayed First's expansion a bit with an ebay. First rushed to dark shrine, which TaeJa sniffed out perfectly. He killed the first DT and got a turret up in time to stop the second, and positioned his units perfectly to prevent a warm prism from getting any in the main. TaeJa adde a raven to his tanks, as he added upgrades. First worked on a stalker-immortal army, getting crucial snipes on the tech lab researching stim for TaeJa to delay that tech well as he added charge and colossi. First continued to probe for a spot to drop DTs as he both players took their third, and moved out once zealot charge finished. TaeJa teched to ghosts, fending off more drops and DT warpins. He moved out when the ghosts joined his army, destroying all of First's colossi easily in the first engagement. First tried a few more warpins, but was unable to save his third. As TaeJa advanced into the protoss natural, he took out First's forges to secure an upgrade advantage. Taeja loaded up some medivacs to drop First's main, defending more DT attempts. He grouped up his army and landed a Huge EMP on all of First's HTs, taking out First's fourth then third to take the game and advance to the finals.

19:44 GMT (+00:00): TaeJa 1-0 First. On Shakuras Plateau, TaeJa loaded up a few drops to hit First's mineral lins. The didn't do much, besides spotting him the tech path of First (charge into HTs). He promtly added ghosts and continued with bio upgrades, adding on concussive shells. The two skirmished in the center of the map as First tried to take a third. but Taeja's bio upgrades accompanied by the newly arriving ghosts were too much for First. TaeJa demolished First's third as he took his own, then busted into the natural to take the game.

19:21 GMT (+00:00): Alicia 4-3 Oz. On Metropolis cross positions, Alicia again went Stargate, but didn't spot Oz's early expansion. Alicia added stalkers and immortals, attacking into Oz's natural. Oz's blink was lon complete, but his economic advantage didn't take hold, and Alicia's much larger 1base army rolled over Oz to take the series.

19:06 GMT (+00:00): Alicia 3-3 Oz. On Shakuras Plateau, Alicia rushed for blink. He armost didn't even need it, with his overwhelming stalker numbers early let him get a warpin in Oz's main to snipe the robo just after the first immortal finished thanks to some pylon snipes. He backed off to hunt pylons as he added an expansion and they each teched to robo. Oz got his colossi out first, using their power to bust out of his natural. As he charged across the map, Alicia blinked a few stalkers into Oz's main and killed probes, which meant that even though Alicia had to pull probes to defend Oz's attack, he was still well in the lead. He promptly counterattacked to take the victory.

18:47 GMT (+00:00): Oz 3-2 Alicia. On Entombed cross positions, Alicia rushed stargate. He couldn't do much damage with his pair of phoenix, sniping a sentry but not spotting Oz's colossus rush. Alicia added on gateway units and attacked just as the first colossus popped out, attacking repeatedly up Oz's ramp. Oz stopped colossus production in the face of the phoenixes, and snuck a zealot into Alicia's mineral line. Both players teched to blink, with Alicia sniping a couple more probes as they each expanded. They moved back into colossi, working on their upgrades. Alicia took his third first, with Oz following soon after. Oz attacked just as Alicia's third finished, hitting him before the economic boost could take effect and overwhelming his army at both the natural and third to take the game.

18:25 GMT (+00:00): Oz 2-2 Alicia. On Daybreak, built a second gateway early as Oz rushed to get his twilight council down first, then teched to blink. Alicia followed with blink research of his own, and Oz moved out across the map as he built an expansion and more gateways. Alicia added a robo and another gateway, and both players hunted around for pylons. Alicia scouted the expansion with his observer and responded by putting down his own and teching to colossus, manging to delay Oz but losing his observer. Oz got colossi of his own, and both players took their third, Alicia with his a bit sooner. Oz attacked when he had five coloss, and his early economic advantage carried him through the whole way as he easily rolled over Alicia's army to force the GG.

18:06 GMT (+00:00): Alicia vs Oz is also an extended series, with Alicia starting up 2-1 in what is now a best of 7.

17:59 GMT (+00:00): First 2-0 LosirA. On Entombed vertical positions, First went for phoenixes, moving out once he had four. He killed a queen in LosirA's natural and main and a few overlords. LosirA got spores up and droned hard through it, but didn't defend all that well, losing many more queens and overlords. First switched into colossi and blink as LosirA went up to 115 drones. First moved out with three colossi, avoiding LosirA's first attempt at baneling carpet bombs. LosirA had some decent baneling flanks, but with no baneling speed, he couldn't land effective hits and had to GG.

17:39 GMT (+00:00): First 1-0 LosirA. On Daybreak, First stuck on two bases for a long time, doing a little bit of warp prism harass but nothing major. He planted his third as blink finished, supplementing it with a few immortals before going up to colossi. LosirA maxed on roaches as he teched up and took his fourth, loading up a massive drop to go into First's main. First had it scouted the whole way and repelled it before it even landed, also defending an assault on his third. When First maxed, he attacked LosirA's fourth, and when LosirA's baneling carpetbombing failed, he GGed.

17:13 GMT (+00:00): Clutch interviewing Apollo on the main stream.

17:02 GMT (+00:00): Oz 4-1 Stephano. On Cloud Kingdom, Oz opened with an extremely safe anti-6pool build, but Stephano was just playing normally. Stephano later moved out with a lot of lings to pressure Oz's delayed natural, but was chased off by a decent wall. Oz built +1 zealots and sentries to pressure the third, then teched up to charge and templar as Stephano got up to Infestors, using them to defend well againstt attempted warp prism harass, then teched up to brood lords. Oz attacked with archon support to wipe out Stephano's third just as the brood lords warped in, and teched to colossi. Stephano couldn't take a fourth, and his ling backstabs were countered perfectly by Oz's cannons. Oz teched up to dark shrine and mothership, preparing for a switch to air. He offered up his fifth as a sacrificial lamb to draw Stephano out of his base, then running into the main to snipe the greater spire, followed by sniping Stephano's fourth with DTs. Oz then went full bore into carriers, waiting to reveal them until Stephano was knocking on his natural. Stephano had a ton of infestors and Corruptors, But it wasn't enough. Oz fought off the corruptors, and Stephano, with no economy left, was forced to surrender.

16:30 GMT (+00:00): Oz 3-1 Stephano. On close air Metropolis, Oz went 7gate sentry-heavy, setting up to assault Stephano's third. The time he took breaking down the rocks gave Stephano plenty of time to prepare, and Stepahno did a decent job cutting off the initial wave of reinforcements. Oz attacked once his blink research finished, fighting on the ramp into Stephano's third and eventually breaking his way in to take down the hatchery. Stephano tried to regroup back at his natural, desperately defending with roaches and spine crawlers as he teched to infestors. Oz was too relentless, though, and Stephano couldn't get infestors out in time to salvage the game.

16:06 GMT (+00:00): As a reminder, the Stephano-Oz series is starting off at 2-1 in favor of Oz due to extended series, and is now a best of 7.

So, Oz vs Stephano dont will be stream? I mean free?

it looks like they're changing their schedule and are going to show all the series on both streams, with two sets of casters

I hoped to see Stephano winning this game but it'll be very hard against Oz who is really on top of his PvZ :/
Also I would like to see First in the Grand Finals because he really impressed me with his playstyle yesterday, but Losira is someone who you should be afraid of to play and I totally agree that Losira will be the favorite..
But anyways I hope to see some great matches )

Seriously, when are they going to ditch the silly extended series rule?

I'm sick of this protoss dominance... protoss is known in korea to be the best race for months now, easyest to play and the most complete lategame... I hope atleast a zerg wins this series... oh well its probably gonna be oz...^^

Protoss dominance??? Because so many Protoss have won GSLs in Korea. Because a Zerg definitely didn't win NASL last weekend. Seriously...

PartinG fanboy to the max, Rain/Squirtle/Dear/Scarlett/Bbyong are cool too. I don't always watch Dota2 but when I do I have no clue what's going on. GOGO POWER RANGERS

I wouldn't say dominance, but they have down quite well (and improved) recently. More so than the other 2 races, at least..but not by a whole lot.

Since alicia and oz are in a bo7 for their brackets finals and an extended series, could we see more than just 1 bo7?

Shooooot, I don't which one to root fooorrrrr. X-0 Both have great storylines, both could use a championship for themselves. I simply hope it's a great match of games.

EDIT: Good God, 77 vs. 87 % win rates? ...This is like MKP vs. Parting from earlier this year. GOTTA be epic!
