Man what a great read, loved every paragraph. I still love the way that FD won at a time when zergs seemed to be the least powerful race in SC2 his autograph is one of my favorites to this day

I also got nerd chills when I heard that song's chorus for the first time.

There was so much good drama and excitment in 2011 GSL.

I remember all of those moments.

Slayers winning the GSTL. Artosis and Tasteless going quiet, because of how exciting the game was, in the last game of the series between MMA vs Mvp in GSTL finals is something I'll never forget.

MMA coming out and shutting down DRG in another GSTL final.

Jinro beating MC with mech and MC just sitting shocked in his booth.

MKP looked like he had it in Code A finals vs Ganzi then somehow, someway loosing it and again looking totally devastated and crying. So sad.

MKP loosing final game of GSTL finals and again looking totally devastated.

SC2 will forever be more fun to watch than play!

very cool writeup. i was expecting to see at least a mention of the may matchup between nestea and sC or the mma vs mvp anaheim games. the massive crowd really put a perspective on how big this actually is.

It's crazy how much has developed over the two years this game has been playable. There have been a lot of critics of the game for being "too easy" or on a lower level to BW but if it continues on the path that it's been on, we're in for something amazing. The level of play is so much better now and the classic deathball vs deathball is slowly fading in most matchups. If this first GSL of 2012 is any indication of what's to come for the rest of the year, we have a lot to look forward to.

MMA vs MVP to me showed how big this game could be. The crowd there was massive and the series was a story of the underdog showing how undeserved that label was. All of the weird builds and abusive strategies will be remembered as the growing pains this game had to work through. It's been an amazing start to SC2 and this game has so much potential growth still...bring it on
