Very emotional news and Nazgul post, for all TL fans.
Grown up people who chase cariers in their fields know how much important is to seize good job opportunity when you get it, so i understand his decision, even tho i, as most of us are very sad to hear this.
I just hope it is well worth it, and some decent sallary upgrade, because he is leaving really great people, and i don't know how will things work out having to share place with Idra.

Now what some people allready mentioned, and i don't understand either, how come EG can have greater sponsors and more money, when TL is biggest SC2 community, i would really like some explanations from people who follows this, why TL doesnt have "stronger" sponsor contracts. I mean i dont want to sound rude, i know it's their private stuffs, but as a supporter of TL, and we all know what TL is in SC2 world, with Nazgul sense to pick up good players, AND more money to invest, TL would kinda be unstopable, so i just wish they will have even bigger sucsess in future in finding sponsors.
We had golden age of Jinro, we had good run by Huk lately, i really hope someone will emerge again as hero of TL, someone old/new doesnt mather, but it would be awesome that someone step up in terms of results, TL is full of great players and i hope they will be able to provide it and bring alot of happiness to all of their fans.
Personaly i hope Jinro can try to get back, or Ret to step up and from macro beast transmute into complete beast, or that maybe TL will grab even more forcess. for example Thorzain

i'm sure they can lure people by bringing them to OGS training house, if their budget permits it to them.
Anyhow, GL Huk, hope it will all sort out best for both you and TL.

Huk man... You are my favorite player. You were awesome even when you were doing colossus timing pushes back in the day. You better take advantage of that big salary and try to bring home a GSL title to NA. I also hope you thrash on Idra and the other EG dudes. It just seems weird that you are not liquid'huk anymore. Sorry that this post doesn't make sense really, but I just had to make an account to comment on this.

Pretty disappointing... Not that he's leaving, as I can understand the decision to chase the money... But that Liquid, such a well loved and supported team, doesn't have the finances to retain him. The world feels backwards when an organisation as maligned as EG is able to grab all of these quality players, and loved organisations just can't put up the figures...

@ EG: This still doesn't get you any respect. This thread is evidence enough of that (although admittedly this doesn't have any of the stink of the Puma acquisition). Your test as an organisation will be what you do with your talent. Thus far, you haven't shown us that you can develop your players. You just throw money around to get people with talent who have then stagnated... I will happy for the game, and foreign organisations, if you are able to prove me wrong. I just don't see it happening.

@ Nazgul and co: Too bad, but we still love you guys for the team (i.e. PEOPLE) you are.

I don`t know why but this makes me sad. I`ll still root for Huk, but EG just isn`t the same as liquid. I dont know something about being on Liquid just seems so prestigious.
To me at least EG=buisness Liquid=family.
I dont know maybe I`m being dumb, but I`ll continue to support you all.

This is really good news as Huk definitely deserves this. Being able to pursue his dreams while remaining financially stable. He is in a completely different class from the rest of the Liquid players and I am not surprised to see him being snapped up by another organisation. Overall, everyone benefits. We get to see more good games from him in Korea, foreigners get to establish their first practice house in Korea, and teamliquid players can continue working hard so that they can be as good as Huk some day. Some good players like Ret are already more than halfway there. Go esports!!

I don't know if this works for EG. They purchase good players, yes. But can they form a real team? Idra, Huk, Puma – more combined starpower than Liquid, but I still see some professional players only, not a team.

On a longer note. I think Huk didn't have a real choice. If he forfeit the EG offer, he would be the player in Liquid who could demand special treatment as he is worth so much. Even if he never asks for it, it still would require a lot of character both by him and all the teammates to go along.

I always considered it a previlege for someone to be in Liquid, as Liquid is not your everyday team which purchases and releases players to meet certain business goals. I really don't know if EG will have long-term success with their strategy to buy Puma and Huk for their roster.

Obviously the EG offer was substancial enough for it to be almost a given decision. I've worked in places with great co-workers but if someone offered me a really big pay raise for doing a similar type of job, then I'd be hard pressed not to take it. If you are really a friend of fan of Huk, then you should support his decision.

Will continue to support Huk. Will continue to be a fan. Will continue to cheer on him in tournaments. Doesn't matter which team you're on Huk, because you're a great SC2 player.
