Mat paid for the HDH tournament during beta, going out on a complete limb to give me complete control of the tournament without anything more than a blank check. He has taken huge risks in ESPORTS and even now continues to support it to his fullest. I love ya Mat! Good luck Huk, I dont think anyone will hold a grudge.

It would be bad marketing move. Idra is more or less the face of EG. Buying someone Better than him is just bad marketing. Well they just did that didn't they? Twice actually, Puma[/QUOTE] But those players play a separate race so it isn't the same ![]()

Good luck HuK, this must have been a really tough decision and I hope it works out for you. It's kinda sad though - Liquid and HuK seemed to fit together really, really well.

I think he knows the esports business very well. I'd like to see this kind of stuff. And to be honest, I'd see more ads on TL.com - I mean, the site must get a ridiculous amount of hits. And they run a tiny little banner per page. I like a system like what Day9 did - there's a membership and with it come a few exclusive perks. TL and others could do stuff like that where a membership gets you access to some cool content from the players, like show matches or audience participation stuff.

TL, i feel sorry for your loss. However, IMHO you still got the strongest and most passionate foreigner team out there (players as well as staff). If you keep on going the way you did the past year, I’m sure you'll be rewarded and not have to face similar situations in the future (and even be able to "snipe" HuK back from EG in the future xD ) If I'd own a company that was interested in sponsoring an eSports team, TL would be the first in line by a huge margin. Stay strong! I really like the way this situation was handled by all parties involved. Very professional, yet open and honest. If this is the way things are managed I see a very bright future for eSports. (And props to the TL community for beeing so smart.)

Or they will snap and kill each other. Entertaining either way. :D I don't see anyone from EG providing HuK with the kind of practice that he'd get from practicing against TLO, Jinro, Ret, Haypro, Sheth, and Hero, not to mention the guys from oGs. If I was a pro and had to pick a PvZ practice partner, I'd want Sheth on my team over Idra. I just hope this works out for him, because if it was a decision based purely on salary, I think he's setting himself up for a lot of disappointment. Sometimes you have to forgo the larger salary to stay where you're happy and have good relationships with people. I'm worried that he's not going to find that with EG.

Anyhows, does this also mean he is leaving the TL-oGs practice house? Because that would leave Puma as his only training partner... O well, let's hope HuK does well during GSL August, because for all we know it might be the last we see of him in Korea. ![]()
