Well written but the finals is finals. It's like when Dallas demolished Buffalo in the Super Bowl a while back (spoilers) or when Denver beat Atlanta. Buffalo and Atlanta may not be comparable to InCa but they, like InCa, got to the finals in the format everyone else plays in as well. InCa may be undeserving (I would've liked to see NaDa play Nestea) he won when it counts (apart from the finals of course, ololol).

So, I guess my point is not to rip into InCa for making it to the finals, rather for not playing at a high level when it counted the most.

Not really who doesnt deserve it? Code S has been infused with a lot of new code A talent.

There were some great games this last season sc vs nestea wow

omfg that nestea as sam jackson was epic. Great write up, but I really enjoyed the finals still, even though it was rape, I am a nerd nestea fan and just liked to watch him win!

It's the finals. A young and unheralded protoss player is pitted against a well-known and dominant zerg player. Almost nobody gives the protoss player a chance. But the protoss player has something up his sleeve; a new build using dark templars, that the zerg will not expect. A build that will change the face of the match-up.

Of course, this is March of 2007, and the protoss player is Bisu against the zerg sAviOr.

Best part of the article, I laughed. Thanks for the coverage

Yeah the tournaments aren't as epic but I like it because we get more content. The TSL played it right, dragging it on for a long time which created an epic and meaningful finals. BTW I think Nada also got inspiration from strelok for the hellion harass while building tanks back home because strelok man handled him with that in the NASL. Great OP as usual!

Wow, what a melancholy writeup. The finals were underwhelming, but both finalists were very impressive as they got there. InCa's PvP is amazing, but he also absolutely dominated a number of Terrans, including and especially NaDa, who he made look completely helpless.

NesTea was clearly the best player in the world this last month, with staggeringly good showings in all three of his last matches. That InCa provided no resistance to his championship is a fitting demonstration of NesTea's superiority. People are understandably underwhelmed by the finals, but that is much more the fault of scheduling and brackets than the players.

Bash on InCa's incompetent PvZ all you want, but don't drag NesTea brilliance down with it.

i would love if theese recaps could come more while the turnaments is going on, not on every match but i would love it if every time a good game was played, it would be posted here as a "mini-recap".
i personally don't have nearly the time i would like to watch through all the gsl games and it's not easy to find the ones worth watching, but when your recaps are of a whole round it is often "outdated" and games that is already almost forgotten
it's a good day to die

For some reason every after GSL, their game qualities went down.

Nestea vs sC needs infinity stars to distinguish it from the other 5/5s.

I really don't agree with the end of the writeup for the NesTea semi-finals. Most people did not know the eventual outcome until it happened. If NesTea didn't hold on for just long enough, sC's army would have overrun his main base, which had literally all of his tech. That would have been GG right there.

I think people need to realize that the GSL finals have never ever been epic...it's some sort of curse. Fruitdealer was mildly epic (because it completed his story) and MKP/Nestea wasn't bad, the rest have been roflstomps.

The quality of the OTHER games within the actual tournament itself have always produced a handful of extremely memorable sets every season, so in that regard, GSL usually delivers.

well nestea deserved to win, just bad luck with how the draw worked out that inca made it to the final. nestea/sC final would have been interesting.

Hopefully we will get an interesting final....one day!

Good points. sC still had a great unit composition. It really did come down to the final push at the cliff in front of NesTea's main. Seemed to undersell (if only slightly) the raw excitement of that game.

I think you meant that the quality of games went down with each GSL...

...which is obviously your mind playing tricks in your head. Seriously, go watch some of the games from only-ladder-maps era (AKA GSL1, 2, 3 and 4). They were, with a few exceptions, mind-bogglingly terrible.

They are missing because he seems ridiculously biased against Terran early aggresion.

C+ for SC against Losira? SERIOUSLY? SCs micro against the banelings and infestors in game 1 was world class. His push in game 2 was also top of the line, he deserves a B+ at minimum for crushing one of the top zergs in the world without breaking a sweat.
Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where, when facing a SlayerS terran, completing a hatchery would cause a medivac and 8 marines to randomly spawn nearby and attack it.

Great writeup. I really love the Pulp Fiction photo because I always read the caption in SLJackson's voice, making it beyond epic.
Do an arranged marriage if she's not completely minging, and don't worry about dancing, get a go-kart, cheers.
