Thanks for this, always a good read. Obviously this week's winnings are particularly big with 2 notable tournies finishing up, I can't wait til December to see an annual rundown on the top... say 20 Korean and non-Korean (to avoid just listing GSL champs and runners up) SC2 earners.

Nice round up, but i cant agree with Idra being #2, infact i dont even think i would put him in the top 3 if winnings has nothing to do with it. Nerchio has been immense lately. I would go Thorzain, Nani, Nerchio.

Also, has anyone really been closely following Nerchio in every one of these tournament roundups? If you haven't, go back and check, this guy is building an empire in Europe right now (pun intended). He's gonna be the next big thing, and could easily become the best Zerg in Europe with time.

It's quite interesting that the NA scene revolves around show matches while the weekly tournaments dominates the EU scene. I believe EU is benefiting from this, these high quality tournament are great practice for how to play and think in tournaments, it could explain some of why the NA scene seems to lag behind a bit.

Yeah, Nerchio's constant success each edition is pretty amusing to me, really. Guys like Nerchio are my favorite part about putting this together every couple weeks. Honestly, I would barely even know the guy exists otherwise. I'd imagine it's the same for most other people, as following the results of all these little cups is a bit difficult. So glad to see him take a bigger event with such dominance recently, too!

I believe Thor deserves this rank. His ascension through the TSL was the thing of SC2 legend. It's been a long time since I've been so impressed with a total stranger. Guys is made of nails! Idra climbing was only a matter of time. Great to see him adjusting well to being away from Korea.
