Aha! I was wondering who this MeatyOwlLegs was (apart from the creator of the funniest id to date). Congrats to Naniwa for qualifying.

the man deserves respect. and i say this as a person who used to highly dislike his public attitude and therefore the whole person. but he is being sincere with "changing" and no doubt is very talented. so gogo naniwa

I liked him before because he and socke were the only 2 protosses in europe with real skill. Now I really love him. gz Naniwa and good luck in the future!

EG should contract Naniwa

Indeed! That'd be awesome.
EGNaniwa. And if he'd get the foreigner spot in GSL, tasteless would have another guy he can say is in his team xD

Empire.Naniwa: I want to thank every fan who has supported me, I really appreciate the support.

Like at the IEM when that lone fan of you wanted to take a picture with you and you told him to "Fuck off" ?
Sorry, he might be a good player but he is and will always be a BM, selfcenterd person that gives a shit about his fans/community.

i feel GREAT that a team like empire are in this tournament twice perhaps i think there are even more players could make it.

its a team with a VERY interesting lineup! they not just take STARS its like they took players like kas because they see them improve fast and be their big future

I really hope getting kicked from the EPS and the hatestorm he got was a wakeup call for him.

Looking at him play in TSL and homestory cup really impressed me. It wasnt only good builds and strong agression, but he seemed to have a very good gamesence when his builds were countered well, and he managed to turn a dire looking situation into a win. In my eyes a top-3 protoss, maybe even second best after White-ra, in Europe at the moment.

actually, he didn't leave the EPS because he didn't upload a replay.

He left because he was over the limit (by not uploading replays, and such stuff) +
he didn't attend to an EPS game he had to play against Goody without excusing himself.

+ i think the TSL 3 has a really big problem ..

with 12 top koreans invited ... the top 12 will most likely be the 12 koreans we saw it in the kaspersky invitational .. were europe proudly lost every bo3 xD

He didn't say that it was only because of one replay.

Always good to see people maturing, no reason he couldn't be an esteemed member of the community in the future.

That sounds pretty fucked up, is that true?

I won't jump on the bandwagon that quick, words are easy, time will tell if he really means it.

How can you possibly support him if it's true what MetalSlug posted? Acting bm online is bad, but offline it's absolutely unacceptable

Bad mannered, in starcraft context, usually means poor loser. People that get very angry when they lose and some of that rage overflows onto their opponents in the form of BM.

I'm sure Naniwa (and the other poster child for BM, Idra) are nice and mannered guys IRL. But not so nice after a game where you cheesed them to win

They get mad after losing, mostly on themselves, but they also vent their rage upon their opponents. They rationalize why they lose, like blaming imbalance, cheesy tactics, abusive play. Even when there is no reason except the BM-players own mistakes and the random variance in the game in form of attack timings and blind BO counters etc, they still take it out on their opponents. I'm thinking of the famous idra quotes: "Isn't it funny, you won without doing a single thing" and "you win by doing stupid shit; fucking skilless newbie".

But it's also their hatred for losing that drives them to be so good at this game.

I have friends that are poor losers, and I just smile and let them vent whenever I beat them in something.
