Either way, you never know what can happen because there is no consistency between the servers (MLG Dallas is a good example of this). That and every Open takes around 8+ hours to run. You never know what the latency can be like on any given day. Naz is there any word of how you plan on dividing seeds 4-32? Or are you guys still in the planning stages of that? It's possible that there is no fair way of dividing seeds for 4-32. We are going to brainstorm on this hard in the coming days and weeks, but I could see it being possible that we randomize spots 4-32 if we can't come up with a good system.

Day9, on the other hand, does a good job at saying things that are interesting to all levels of player. I love what Husky has done for the community, but he lacks the enormous knowledge and insight that Day9 has.

I'm not sure if fair is the right word for this. It may seem somewhat inappropriate, but I don't see a lack of fairness. And when it comes down to it, I see it as a good thing. Giving BW players a BIG reason to take SC2 seriously is a great thing for the community and adds a lot of excitement for those of us who followed BW before transitioning to SC2. Sure, some aren't as proven in SC2 as they were in BW, but part of the TSL2 prize is the qualification into TSL3, just as it was for TSL1 to TSL2. Its a tough call, but I think they made the right choice.

Before TSL2 we said we may invite these players. No guarantees. Just that we would consider it. Now for TSL 3 we looked at these players and their accomplishments in SC2 and decided that two of them being absolute world class players and the third is a respectable 3100 on ladder is enough to continue our policy of seeding our previous top 3. Your argument is valid but it has simply been our preference not to have our previous champion and top finishers miss out of our tournament when we think they have the skill to compete. Tournaments without their previous champion are always a little awkward so we are very happy that these guys are as good as they are.
