Sorry if this question has been answered already. Great writeups as always, thanks a lot for this. This wasn't the initial plan, we just ran into a couple of hitches and the ro16 got delayed, so we released them together. In the future we're definitely striving to get them out in a more timely manner, but the lateness of this release was my fault and I apologize.

I'm kind of sick of people saying things like "Idra just needs practice at ZvZ." The only thing that matters is results. Until Idra shows actual notcieable improvement in ZvZ, people should stop giving him unwarranted credit for doing nothing. I understand this. I agree that he seemed to be shut down completely by the overseers and that given the time he's spent in Korea, and the number of tournaments he's competed in, a lot of people expected a better response than what happened. A lot of my response to the post I quoted was based on his "aggression" towards the writers. While they seemed to give IdrA the benefit of the doubt, in my reading they didn't seem to discredit Zenio's play. I am often put off by members who attack community and staff members for doing work that is largely volunteer based, and in my opinion, of a high quality. I think it's also worth noting that he's made it GSL twice, and got further the second time. Only one of two foreigners to do make it into season 1 and 2 (I believe) and TLO was eliminated in Ro64. These tournaments are incredibly difficult, especially going into future seasons, when they will only attract more high level players. All in all, I agree, IdrA is consistently favored to go far in tournaments, and it seems like more often than not he comes up short. You can call that overrated, but I think his accomplishments shouldn't be thrown out so easily. He won MLG D.C., and last season's GSL champ went down in Ro32 this season. Luck plays a large roll, and things are only going to get harder. To close out this wall of text, I understand what you're saying, and hope you understand where I'm coming from. ![]()

Foxer vs KyrixZenith is really so far the best series I have seen in Sc2. All maps are a must see.

On a side note I think people are exaggerating this whole Idra favoritism thing. The author was simply pointing out that zvz is his worst match up and that he is indeed a better player than that(which is completely true). And also no results are not the only thing that matters. You could literally be the best player in the world and not have qualified for the gsl, unlikely but possible. This game does have an element of luck in it believe it or not in both the brackets and in game. Besides Idra does have pretty good results so I don't know where thats coming from.

Just pointing out an oddity, the player ratings changed from A B C D F to star ratings about halfway through.

You can watch game 1 on GOMtv without a season ticket. I don't think you can watch the other games without purchasing a ticket. Link: http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens2/vod/1262

This gives him an automatic advantage over Loner, who is wearing a loose-fitting t-shirt. Kyrix even uses banelings for his trash talking. I lol'd multiple times throughout this. These write-ups are so great for people (like me) who have classes the next day. Thanks so much for all your effort guys! lookin' forward to Ro4!

Side note: I think you forgot to give an overall rating to the series of Foxer v Kyrix and ITR v Genius (since there are overall star ratings for the other Ro8 series')
