They are the ones who deserve them the most ![]() You know, this is exactly why people call us elitists, and that we are unwelcoming to newcomers. But right now, for some reason, I really can't argue with you on that point. Is it really that hard to post? To voice your opinion? If you don't voice it, it's like you don't have one. If you'd be really interested in a community, you'd become involved in it one way or another, and I really can't think of an easier way to do that, than just simply posting. The number of single digit posters in here is sickening. Is it really that hard to invest some time into a community, and not reach 100 posts or even the 350 for a zealot/marine/zergling icon, that shows even a little bit of commitment and interest in a community? I understand, you might have a life, you might work, you might have a spouse and even maybe children. But what I don't understand is why are you asking for something from a community that you didn't put any time into? This doesn't concern everyone, but I'm sorry to say, a huge majority. Some of the newcomers, will stay despite all the shit we vets are giving them and even after not getting a key. Others will stay, and hopefully engage in the community after getting a key. But the vast majority that get or don't get a key, will probably never visit this site again, until they'll need another favor from it.

I've considered myself part of this community for about a year now... And yeah, It's kind of hard for me to voice my opinion.. When you're more of a "listening" person than a "talkative" person, getting your post count can actually be quite the task =\ that said (and used to get but one more post ![]()

Besides, TL was always the number one scbw site, they have to lure the newbies in to maintain their sc2 dominion.

I thought 50 keys was a lot! (seemed more than most sites were getting, anyways) Glad to see TL getting some Blizzardy love. Good luck to all in the oncoming feeding frenzy, Kev

I am trying to get a beta key for my brother so been entering in the CVG competitions but it is so poorly organised that people are questioning whether or not they actually have any keys. You know that TL will get this sorted and I am sure they will distribute the keys fairly.

I've allways been a huge blizzardfan, just got more caught up in wc3 and wow... and now I'm looking forward to the next awsome game from blizz.... so why shouldn't I be as qualified for a beta key as the veterans? after all this is a new game...

What makes TL great, IMO, is that you don't need to register or do anything to read the latest SC news or learn about a new strategy. I don't think I need post comments like "OMG IM SO EXCITED. GO JAEDONG" after every MSL countdown. I understand that the vets feel a little entitled to get some reward for their contribution, but I feel that most post just because they want to, not to be rewarded with something. I don't like the way you make it sound like we are stealing from you and the site if we are not actively commenting on stuff.

If you're not actively commenting, then what do you contribute to Teamliquid? You only consume other people's work without giving anything back. I've read this misconception multiple times during the last days: why do many people think a high post count can only be achieved by posting useless crap? There's plenty of constructive ways to post. Do a live report, help someone in the strategy forum, participate in a non-Starcraft related discussion, tell a joke, pose an interesting question. Not every post can be of the highest quality, but saying more than "lol" isn't hard.

Not every post can be of the highest quality, but saying more than "lol" isn't hard. Then again, there's plenty of examples where it's exactly the other way around - but I know what you mean. A lot of people on here contribute by more or less every post they make. Take MDT or suffeli for example. Then again, there's a lot of people who've achieved thousands and thousands of posts by spamming one liners in LR threads and I can't for the life of me figure out how they're still here. Then there's the examples of people doing both, like konadora, who contributes in so, so many ways but still spam one liners in every other LR thread, or at least used to. Overall though, I think the people who regurlarly visit the site and have been around for at least a few years, know who've contributed to making this a better site and who hasn't. Give me an hour, a pen and a piece of paper and I'm sure I can name at least 2-300 people who I've taken special notice of over the years. Speaking of which, where is HonestTea..?
