We apologize for the lateness of this newspost, we have all been busied by the holiday seaon and finals. But without further ado:
The Liquipedia Review - Volume V
Brought to you by mikeymoo and Imperator
We now have over 1000 pages on Liquipedia! We would also like to thank 7mk for his purchase of www.liquipedia.net. (It's a bit late, but you can thank him here.) You can now reach us from there as well! As an aside, Dark Archons are appearing everywhere in StarCraft matches. We told you so

In other news, it seems like Liquipedia is getting a little bit of exposure in Korea! First, a thank you to Nonduc for the putting in the data for Jaedong's Race Statistics! Does anybody see the similarity to the Korean Wiki?

Liquipedia's Main Page is has been vastly improved. It now has the latest StarCraft news, as well the latest new things from within the wiki. And the best part? Our game of the day section! Each day, the Main Page feature a new "Game of the Day". In this feature, we showcase a particular game each day and analyze it. Get in touch with one of us if you think there is a good game to showcase! We restructured the portal as well, hopefully you will find it more intuitive!
2. TSL
![[image loading]](http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/Kennigit/PSTSL/PS_TSL_Banner.png)
With the TSL underway, the stars of today have shown themselves, and we need your help to immortalize them in a wiki page. Not sure which players have pages? You can see a somewhat complete list of foreigners here. If you think a player should be added to the "Notable Foreigners" section, by all means, go ahead and edit! Obviously IdrA and ret have pages, but some of the highly ranked players on the ladder are missing, like MaNa and MorroW. Get in there! For those of you that missed some the of action, we have an article detailing the TSL2 here. We would like to thank SnowFalling for his hard work on the TSL2 article!
3. Maps
.A very major thank you to Slugbreath for helping immensely with the map section! More about Slugbreath later.
Our maps section is being expanded with many new maps. Ever wondered what those standard maps in your map directory looked like? Well now you can find out! All of Blizzard's Broodwar non-ladder default maps have articles, with the StarCraft ones coming soon. You can give them a look and see if you want to try something new with one of these old maps. You will notice that many of our maps are sporting higher res images, courtesy of repdepot.net and reXplorer. Additional thanks to Imperator and IntoTheWow!
Our pick from the classic maps - Sirocco, due to its brilliant tagline.

Your Enemy flamed you on the forums. There is only one recourse.
4. User in Spotlight
An interview with Slugbreath, the Map man.
+ Show Spoiler [Interview] +
LP: First off, give us a quick introduction of yourself.
Slugbreath: I'm 23 years old and come from Sweden. I started to play StarCraft back in around 2000. However it's only this year that I have picked it up again and truly realized what a great game it is.
LP: How did you find Teamliquid and Liquipedia?
Slugbreath: Truth to be told, I don't really remember! I think it might have been either due to a former co-worker to me or due to Tasteless mentioning Teamliquid in the GOM leagues that made me find Teamliquid. From there I found Liquipedia.
LP: Why did you decide to become active in Liquipedia? And why in the map section, specifically?
Slugbreath: I first went to Liquipedia to find out more about various progamers. Who are they and what are they known for? Especially the gamers of yesterday interested me since I have always been interested in history and I guess that StarCraft history is no exception!
Slugbreath: So I found a lot pages about progamers to be very, very empty, including pages about people I had heard a lot of talk about!
Slugbreath: So I thought that, well, I don't know too much about these people, but at least I can add links to interviews and articles about them.
Slugbreath: So I did.
Slugbreath: From there I went ahead and started the "Blizzard's Map of the Week" page, since I had stumbled upon it while searching for some other page.
Slugbreath: I didn't think that pages about individual maps were relevant enough to merit their own page on Liquipedia but when the page "Brood War no-ladder default maps" showed up, I asked in the Liquipedia IRC channel if it would be a good idea to make pages about those maps too.
Slugbreath: I think it was Mystlord (not sure though) who said that, yes, it was a good idea and should eventually be done and seing how it was something that I easily could do, I started to create individual pages for those maps.
Slugbreath: From there it has just snowballed, I guess.
Slugbreath: I like to catalog things and to have a project going on, so it suited me well to focus on maps.
Slugbreath: Also, it felt like info that should be on Liquipedia.
LP: Do you have any plans after you finish with the maps?
Slugbreath: Looking at the sheer amount of maps left to be added I doubt that I will be done any time soon!
Slugbreath: But there is always stuff to be done.
Slugbreath: I like trying to find interviews and photos of progamers and add that to their pages on Liquipedia.
Slugbreath: I also think that adding pages about what happened during various years would be of interest.
Slugbreath: So that if people ask themselves "what leagues were played in 2005 and which maps were played on?", they should easily find such info on Liquipedia.
Slugbreath: Other information could also be added about the years, like which patches were released and new rules introduced by KeSPA.
Slugbreath: You get the idea.
LP: What advice do you have for new users looking to contribute to the wiki?
Slugbreath: I think that the easiest way to start editing Liquipedia is to read the forums on Teamliquid.
Slugbreath: Interviews, articles and translations show up there all the time and very seldom does that info get used on Liquipedia.
Slugbreath: Just by going to the player page on Liquipedia and adding the interview to a player helps.
Slugbreath: One doesn't have to be A+ on ICCUP to edit Liquipedia after all.
Slugbreath: Look at me, I'm M rank!
Slugbreath: I have a Mac, and can't even get on ICCUP.
Slugbreath: To sum it up, it's very helpful and very easy to just add fact to Liquipedia.
Slugbreath: And references.
LP: And that about concludes the interview. Do you have any final thoughts?
Slugbreath: Keep on editing! We still have a lot of empty pages to fill.
5. Promotions
.Slugbreath became the first to be autopromoted by the engine to editor due to making 150 approved edits over the course of two weeks. A hundred and fifty! If you do that, you too can be a Liquipedia editor, too!
