It's been a whirlwind month here at TeamLiquid as we are all busy making the PokerStrategy.com TSL as good as we possibly can. Unfortunately, the whirlwind blew all over my desk and scrambled my papers - as such - the carving contest results have been severely delayed. But alas, I found the sheet of paper with the results scribbled on it and we can finally announce the results.
The standard for this years contest was ridiculous. As with every contest we run, we were blown away with the caliber of the entries. Indeed, lagmaster and his girlfriend set the standard for the contest with their sick Hydralisk carving the day before the contest started. As such, many people were deterred from entering, since well, the carving was absolutely amazing. With that said, the few people who did submit entries had carvings that could have easily taken out the first TL Pumpkin Carving contest without any trouble. Ahh, so far TeamLiquid has come since then.
Without further delay, it gives me great pleasure to announce the top three carvings for 2009.

The staff were blown away at how realistic this looks. Realistic in the sense that it looks just like an in game archon. I swear, if that archon appeared blue rather than red we would have called hax and said it was just a screenshot photoshopped onto a pumpkin.

Here at TeamLiquid, we have always prided ourselves on the quality of our Battle Reports. But never in our wildest dreams did we expect someone to carve a Battle Report into pumpkins?! friloux did just that, and sent the staff into hysterics with her Pumpkin Report of Boxer nuking Killer on Tornado.

At the end of the day, there was only one real choice for this. Lagmaster destroyed and demotivated the competition with his earlier Hydralisk, but this rendition of a Zergling mauling a Marine just made our jaws drop in awe. Much like Vince's Hatchery cake, this is up there with some of the best SC Related Pumpkin Carvings ever done. The reactions from the thread really do speak for themselves;
