Congratulations Comrades! Despite the fact that we only took about 85% casualties, and failed to kill all of the Ukrainians, we have managed to capture the treacherous Ukrainian capital! While our division took heavy losses for the motherland, the other 30 motor-rifle divisions, not to mention 88th Guards Tank Division and 1st Shock Army, were able to wipe out the remaining Ukrainian resistance without any trouble at all!

Unfortunately, we had a few surprises. We saw former Field Marshal Ace had hijacked a T-34 tank and was driving it off into Germany. We searched his possessions and found a Swastika, an Iron Cross, vampire blood, and a Hitler mustache. The man was clearly a Nazi.
We also noticed that decafchicken had left in a captured Ukrainian tank. We found his tracks were off in the direction of Ace, and also noticed that he had Mossad insignia in his bunk. In any case, I have been authorized by High Command to award fellow Comrades for their services in this Great Patriotic War!

Your job is simply to survive, regardless if Mafia or Town wins. Your Wehrmacht training gives you the same powers as the Ukrainians, i.e. a role check or a kill each night, and your secret behavior gives you two night lives. You appear as a townie to all checks. Be careful, though, a Nazi Hunter is present in the army. He has similar abilities and wins by killing you. You do not need to kill him for victory.

What? Ace was one of the biggest contributors to the Town. As the field marshal, the most likely way he could die was by getting lynched, so he did his best to stay on the Town's good side, by contributing against the mafia. No one suspects him, and the fewer mafia there are the smaller the chances all his bodyguards get killed. He never did the town any harm.
soviet power wins any way because the Ukrainians are weak. Ace wins if he survives. Decaf wins if Ace dies.

lol yup. I was just being patient trying to make sure the town couldn't lynch me, and also wanted to make sure Rebels didn't go apeshit insane raping everyone which is why I suggested that all Rebels rolecheck each other the first few nights - so my bodyguards wouldn't be accidentally killed. I killed Scaramanga later just because he thought he knew what he was talking about but didn't.

This is so true. So many times I PM'd Caller like I might just say fuck it and start killing people for the lulz. Ver was so Rebel looking but I held off and used an RC just to be safe.

Aw, that's harsh.
My guess is: Caller had some notion of victory conditions but didn't have them set in stone. He felt that the Town outplayed the rebels overall, so towards the end when there were very few players still left and activity was nonexistent, he just decided to end it and hand victory to the side that did better overall.
His saying "soviet power wins any way because the Ukrainians are weak" is just him talking as Comrade General Caller, I'm pretty sure.
Was a good game Caller, shame about the inactivity towards the end though.
