Advancement in this army is also very easy to accomplish: why, there are many positions that one can be promoted to in the army's administration, such as:
Field Marshal: Great countrymen elect our proud official! He has power to vote three more times, da! (4 votes) Also may have one person executed on day one, da! But his role becomes Field Marshal to NKVD and Mafiya checks, nichevo, nichevo.
Bodyguard: You are defender of the rule of the people! The Field Marshal cannot be targeted at night while you still draw breath! You do not know the other bodyguard(s). You appear as a Conscript.
NKVD Agent: You are proud member of People’s Commissariat of the Interior! You search for corrupt rebels once per night, either by tracking the foul capitalist smell of the clues they leave behind, or by contacting NKVD HQ for a role check on a suspicious individual. Be warned, you cannot contact NKVD more than 3 times, they are very busy! You also can disguise your role as NKVD agent to rolechecks, and may change role or keep the same!
Commissar: You are guardian of justice and harbinger of the people’s will! You may dispose of one person after Night 2, whether they be Ukrainian Rebels or
Red Army Medic: You are defender of weak from the fascists! You may stakeout one person every night and scare off an attacker if one comes to kill your comrades in their barracks!
Red Army Veteran: You are courageous victorious soldier from Great Patriotic War! You are strong like bull, and can take two hits to kill!
Red Army Demoman: You are special weapons expert! You may either suicide bomb an enemy, or you can blow yourself up at a random night, killing anyone that attempts to visit you! Suicide bombing also kills anybody visiting that person!
Conscript: You are a fellow Soviet Comrade! You may participate in our soviet to vote on the cowardly pigs that are infesting our army with the stench of their crime and corruption!
Of course, this is not to say that there are any spies in the army. But if there were, they would probably be Ukrainians!
Ukrainian Rebel: You are corrupt criminal that is poisoning our country! After Ukrainian Resistance Leader was executed by NKVD, you do not know fellow Ukrainians, nyet nyet nyet! You may do research on one person a night, da, to determine their role, or you may kill one person a night-be warned, you may kill own treacherous scum if you are not careful, da!
You must vote everyday, or you will be shot. Abstaining is fine, but no vote is not. Even if you are blue or red, you will be shot if you don't vote. Days will be generous to compensate for this.
Also, there are new rules!
A) The Red Army does not need to kill all the mafia to win. There will instead be a time limit-if the Ukrainians do not kill enough Russians by then, the Russians will win.
B) Every day will have special pre-determined conditions that will be announced on the day. These conditions are not game breaking but may be neutral or provide a slight advantage to either side.
C) If you don't vote, you will be shot. No joking. 100% seriousness. Even if it ruins the game, I will not hesitate to have you executed.
