First of all, people are making far too big a deal of the double lynch post. Dreamflower pointed out what I had originally intended with it. I wanted to foster discussion. (Notice that is included in the post.) I haven't defended myself up to this point because I didn't see the point. I already knew I wasn't going to change the minds of anyone who was posting at that time. Anyways, having read the thread, I have noticed that most of our suspects are actually ASKING to get lynched. I have decided to switch my votes to Versatile because we learn more from her lynch than anyone else's. Specifically, it tells us to suspect Ace and myself if she flips green/blue. Lynching JeeJee only tells us to suspect me if he flips green/blue. Lynching Quickstriker puts an end to the information about his activities in the bathroom (seriously dude, too much information). It looks to me like we have the most to gain from lynching Versatile.

I believe that a lynch is almost always better than no lynch. It is the town's primary ability to eliminate mafia. Even if our chances of lynching mafia are low, low chances are still better than the no chances that come from not lynching (if you are trying to argue that if we lynch we have a high probability of lynching town and no lynch ensures we don't lynch a town then you aren't playing to the town's win condition. Our objective isn't to keep as many town players alive, it's to kill all the mafia. Town players are going to die, it happens, but townies still win with the town at the end of the game even if they died). Not lynching essentially gives the mafia two nights in a row. Lynching someone, even when wrong, can help to provide information about those who were voting for/against the lynchee which is important later in the game for analyzing voting patterns and behavior in catching mafia. I would urge that people choose not to abstain from voting for this reason. If you still don't see why not lynching is bad, then I'll try to explain it better. Anyone who thinks it is still a good idea to abstain or no-lynch will appear more suspicious to me. Though I know it is a common mistake people make who are not overly familiar with competitive mafia (based off games I play on other sites) Please don't abstain or support a no lynch because that hurts the town in the long run. If you are currently abstaining, either pick someone you find suspicious or remove your vote.

I feel like most of the bandwagon votes for Versatile were based upon your discussion about her in the last couple of pages. If you check the voting thread it kinda aligns with when her name was really brought up (note the vote changes). Now all of a sudden you say this? :/

If you are currently abstaining, either pick someone you find suspicious or remove your vote. Though I agree with your position, where in the rules does it say that when you have more abstains than votes do we have a no vote? Voting rules, since people always need it spelled out. 1. You must post your vote in the Vote Thread(will be in blog section) . Do not PM or IM it to me. 2. You must clearly declare your vote ie: 'I vote for X'. 3. You can not autochange your vote to the losing or winning bandwagon. 4. You cannot vote for yourself or anyone dead or outside the game. 5. In the event of a tie the person with the most votes first wins over the other person. 6. You may abstain, but must let me know: ie: 'I abstain from voting'. The only specification is that the person with the most votes wins. Under abstain it just notes how to post it. I say fuck the people who abstained. They're not helping the town. They should be automatically suspects on top of the two other people who do not get lynched today.

What do you think of the alignment of some of the people pressing a double lynch for tomorrow? Do you find any of them to more likely be mafia than the rest? Which ones and why? This question can be answered by anyone who opposes the double lynch really, those were just the first two people in the voting thread who spoke out against it so I find their opinion more genuine than others who posted later who may just have been following.[/QUOTE] Herd mentality mostly. If anything, I'd say they're not suspicious, because it's probably a green vanilla Townie trying to see some action and execute what powers he's got. That's my take on the matter tho, I could be wrong.
