I think that we absolutely should attempt to limit who visits the Database, and I generally agree with the notion that we should accept volunteers. The interesting point is who they should attempt to target with their action, and in that I think we already have an excellent candidate. Grack, if we continue to believe he is town (for reasons previously stated by others), should absolutely try to find out more about Hapahauli's role. That said, roleblocks may prevent this from happening, but this is the sort of thing we should be trying to do with the Database instead of simply worrying about its effect on game mechanics. Agreed? I personally cannot be a part of this mission. I believe the most pro-town thing I could do is to take my own personal night action that deals with my role. Other than that, I think the best approach to this cycle will be to simply attempt to coordinate who is doing what and dealing with claims. It is a themed game so these mechanics cannot simply be ignored in favor of "scumhunting" early on in a game when we can't even lynch for a significant period of time.

I'm not going to play along in a rayn-game. If this turns into one I will just replace. Not worth my time.

He failed to comment on literally anything I said and made vague threats he can't even enforce for several more days, and did so in a completely disrespectful manner. I am not here to play in a shitflinging game. Not worth my time.

So is there more than just town/mafia? :D Btw I commit to checking out the database. I personally think I'm the best person to check it out. Why do you think you're a good candidate?

Also, like Hapa said below, you can't choose to find out about corruption you just have to target a player. Like I said before Hapa is a great choice for finding out more about his role and I would add Rayn and Shockey to that as well since there is definitely something strange going on between them given how Rayn's read changed. I could potentially go (my role doesn't require the night action I thought it did) but it seems a lot of people null read me at best so I would have to do some convincing. I suppose I could force the issue but I'd rather do so with the full faith of town.

I think what it means is that you will learn what the next level of corruption will do to that player's role. My personal belief is that Corruption could potentially lead to negative effects on certain roles. Reading my role PM carefully, I think that I must be careful wrt corruption levels.

If somehow I die, an eventuality I do not discount, my only real scumread is Shockey. There's really not much to go on so far and about a third of the thread is one player's posts SO there's a lot of noise. The only person I'm confident enough to townread at the moment is iamp. I was suspicious of his seeming parroting of rayn early on but his break with rayn's line and his general demeanor since rayn left the thread gives me the impression he's honestly trying to solve the game. I think Hapa is generally pro-town as well and I don't think it's a good idea to kill him when he can win with us. I doubt that Hapa's plan as mafia was to fakeclaim 3P on D0. That said I would like to know HOW he can win with town. I assume that means he can win if he's alive when town wins, and if that's the case then we should probably protect him. If he continues to be a voice of reason in the thread and gives out honest reads there's no reason mafia wouldn't target him and any town ability to save him could be truly useful, essentially allowing us an edge in numbers.
