The thing is that the TLMafia boards, because of the nature of the game, have a bit more lax enforcement. Any blatantly homophobic, sexist, over the line jokes, can and should be reported. However, the problem is that many times what would be ok to post here and what would be ok to post on the rest of the forums are entirely different. So because we tell everyone, especially newbies, to not use the report button and instead take it to the mod; some things don't get handled as swiftly as they would elsewhere. And most mods know to let TL mafia police itself unless it's blatantly over the line. In my years of being here, I think I've only used the report button twice and once was Robik. | ||

A bit ago, I made a facebook post about how Wizards of the Coast has a problem and it's best seen in it's recent promo video because all the ladies in the promo video were fangirling. I was trying to make the point that WotC has basically hired people who are just "Yes men" and refuse to challenge stupid/bad ideas and mechanics; that wizards isn't hiring quality staff (regardless of gender). But it turned into a cluster fuck post where most people called me a sexist bigot and didn't listen to the point I was trying to make (or correct their misconception of my stance). | ||

And the emo blackmail post I already made many times on this site. Mostly because people say things like "this game isn't fun anymore because I get voted for and I am quitting" but when I made that comment it didn't even cross my mind it was because rsoultin is a women and women do emo stuff. Or w.e she made it out to be. And I had to make the post that it was "emo bullshit" because I had to pretend she was mafia fooling us and not legit upset. Maybe due to being mafia myself I made a insensitive post because I didn't act "naturally" but pretended. But still... Anyway. Both my posts werent sexist at all and in all rants + qt's + endgame I am getting shit and I really don't understand why she is so upset over those posts. I am not caring about it too much though. Think I played acceptable as mafia coming from the streak I had as town. If I try to make 10 pages each cycle people would catch me D3 as well. I can't make the same posts as mafia as I do as town. But due to circumstances it may look like I played less than I could but I would have had the same activity D4 as town. D1 not obviously. Setup was bullshit. 2 innocent childs limits the paranoia (2 voices you can trust 100%) and the lynchpool. It isn't hard to find 3 mafia in 10 players with 3 guaranteed mlynches. The parity cop adds insult to injury because it basically makes it finding 3 mafia in 9 players with 3 guaranteed mlynches. Without mafia having the option to kill who they want for at 3 nights. I said what I had to say about masons in the pre-game setup talk from the last big game. Bringing them to a mini is just really bad balancing. So set-up was a complete joke. Town played very well. Thank you to both hosts for hosting. | ||

We didn't have a single vote on us EoD1 I think. EoD2 was a bit messy but still ok. D3 should have been bussday. We had rayn bossing it up and killing the tandem rayn-HF was needed imo. Killing the Masons first doesn't make too much sense if you have such strong townies. Sure in retrospect maybe. But give me 3 days with both rayn and HF and we find any 3 man mafia team within 11 players ourselves included. | ||

I mean like regardless of what i thought i didn't have the pieces together as well as HF did (well i cant tell what i had done after D2 as i don't know and therefore i cant answer that), but it is a fact that at least based on thread HF more on the right track that i was on N1. | ||

say what you want about the setup, idc + Show Spoiler [the argument that has been shitting up…] + rsoul was mostly in the right. the jokes you made were, firstly, so bad i wasn't totally sure they were jokes and, secondly, totally unnecessary. you especially should not have piled on after she told you to stop. that's all i have to say i'm not sure town won by being good exactly, because all of the scum basically landed on our doorstep. i would like to think that i played well, but i am very disappointed that i had to qq to narrowly avoid a mislynch on d2. i don't want to have to do that and i am open to advice on how to not be lynched in the future. kudos to ec for his effort and blue play | ||

I usually try to learn why i misread someone but i honestly can't make any sense of this one. Basically i called you mafia for two reasons and i would like to know why you did those things: - You called out Damdred because he scumread rsoultin based on couple of her opening posts. He even said that very clearly. There is nothing wrong with that but the way you called him out was super bs imo, since you put it in a way of "well if you call out rsoultin then why don't you call these other people out too?", when those said other people had zero posts made. Like, you understand having made a couple of (or even one post) compared to zero posts make a huge difference? I genuinely associate that with mafia since you werent even really calling out Damdred out for what he did (aka the read in itself) but instead for something else (that doesn't even make any sense). It's like you were comparing two things that were completely different. - Then you seemed like Koshi was super duper scummy for you. Why didn't you ever try to talk about Koshi, push him, or interact with him? I mean like... it's not like people "mislead" you into talking about something else (for example in a way i pushed Rels to talk about nonsense in the last game final phase -- to avoid him making a case on BH), you picked the topics you wanted to talk about and Koshi was never there in those topics. I find it very unnatural, since i am used to people wanting to convince other people to lynch their top scumread. Especially when those said other people don't agree with you i don't understand why don't try to convince them and at the same time you are perfectly comfortable to discuss basically every other player in the game rather than Koshi. And i don't even think that's the worst part. I think the worst part is when i point this out and clearly give you a chance to explain yourself you call my words bs and call me unreasonable. And continue doing the same thing... I mean, did i miss something? Because i don't think i was being unreasonable at all since everything i said is true. I think you fell into the same "trap" you kinda did with Calix a couple of games before as you were not evaluating the actual argument, you were just evaluating the fact that there is an argument (aka rolling with narratives which never apply tbh). Like... aside from "not playing" and "not contributing", saying stuff that doesnt make any sense is the most common mafia trait. It is okay if you think in certain instance that is not the case, but the way you argue about it is kind of lackluster imo, because you dont really tell the thread why you think that way. "Playing well", as in not getting lynched and finding mafia, doesn't require huge fucking magic skills. It jsut requires you clinging up to things you find suspicious and at least trying to get other off from things you don't find relevant. I mean, me and holyflare for example are most likely the (almost) most nitpicking people in mafia in the world. We are considered good players. It's not because we are necessarily smarter than other people are. We just dig into stuff we find relevant. If it is "15 pages of shit" and we didn't find anything then well... we do something else. But like... you can't just look at an argument in a way that "there is an argument" and make a decision based on it, because your decision is not informed in any way at that point, and that's kinda point of this game, making informed decisions. | ||

Hope another game opens soon. Post game thoughts: HF: still think your play was scummy and would've voted you again if I could. Might've picked up some read pointers for your alignment. Rayn: I feel like I have a pretty solid read on you. Very towny this game. Koshi: Felt like super obvious scum, your town and scum play is nothing alike(in my limited experience) TW: good tone, felt remarkably different from your scum game. Content more dubious, but I guess that's natural as town. SL: from my Pov you lacked direction and your usual town arrogance this game. I felt you cowered when challenged. Skynx: Felt a tone change from last game. More positive and on the prowl. I enjoyed it. EC: Chatty chatty. A little wild at points but overall towny approach. It was nice meeting you. Hope we play again soon  Geript: Thanks for the advice. Will take a bit more to cure my trigger finger though. Damdred: Didn't seem like you were involved this game, or maybe you're always this cool headed. Hard to read you because of that. Rels: Once again no D1 presence .Really liked you when you started playing. VA: Well... I really hated how you played this game. I do apologize for calling you socially awkward, but your play was downright awful. You didn't try to play the game or produce any valuable reads for town.
