Or people 'forget' an earlier read in the sense that without anything clearly changing (or without stating something that changed their minds on another look) the read changes, especially if it's an excuse to get on a lynch. | ||

I want to say some words about the sexism stuff that was going on. First of all, I do think that there are some lines that you do not cross as a player. It is very well possible to get insulted, to be hurt, and to talk about this in thread. The correct way is to talk to a host about this and this is what Tina did, along with the discussion in thread. Yes, this game is play to win. Yes, technically everything can be a lie and can be made up. Nevertheless, I think at some point everyone, in disregard of his/her alignment, should be realizing that there's something wrong and aks him/herself if bragging about it is still necessary. I have actually gathered quotes from players in host QT which came AFTER rsoultin was replaced and which were super derogatory. Basically, I think the level of discussion that was had, the derogatory (and also the totally overblown) things...I think this is nothing that can be tackled by host actions. Yes, I can replace rsoultin. Yes, I can modkill galore but that won't change people. I think that some people went way over the top and did indeed insult rsoultin in a sexist manner - but I also think (and I do know in parts actually) that rsoultin already talked to them and/or is talking to them to sort things out privately. Basically, I reacted to the discussion with "stop it immediately" and I hope it kinda worked. I'm not 24/7 available in thread, so sorry for the delays that were given at several occasions, including this discussion. I urge everyone who feels insulted in a serious way to 1. stop discussing immedaitely in thread, stop participating and 2. send a PM to the host and let the host take actions. If a topic is NAI but insulting as fuck, contact a host. That's what we're here for. Overall, yes, mafia game, Holyflare, I get your points - but nevertheless, this discussion was over the top and the fact that rsoultin asked to be replaced out should tell everyone that this kind of shit should not be part of a mafia game. ------------------------------------------------ Balance: yes, the setup was town favored (although the rsoultin/Vivax slot being basically empty didn't help scum). I have learnt my lesson specifically about masons and I will do better next time. ------------------------------------------------ Ban list actions: I don't think any ban list actions will be applicable here. | ||

Like here's the thing Rels. If you start playing and start to look towny on D2, you've helped scum get a more favorable lynch on D1. On D1, I think Rels, SL, Koshi, TW, Tina and maybe EC could've all been solid lynches as Lurker + questionable play. On D2, Rels removed himself from that list; maybe EC did too. IDK, I feel really good and bad about my EC reads this game (which I'm ok with since I haven't seen him before). IMO, the most important thing you can do as town is to remove yourself from the lynch list. If all townies are obviously town, then finding the right person to lynch becomes super easy. Even if they're just reasonably townie, people will find reasons to lynch someone else. | ||
