One of the special aspects of TL.net is the community that has developed on the site. While members have come and gone over the years, people have always been able to find their place on the site and that sense of community has remained. The Mafia forum is a subcommunity that has been around for a very long time, our first Mafia game was held in 2008 and the popularity of the game eventually spawned its own subforum.
Mafia games require a lot of behind the scenes work. From ensuring the activity of participants, maintaining the integrity of the game, managing player lists and so on. Today we recognise the contributions of two of the longest serving TL Mafia Volunteers and thank them for their hard work.
Over the last eight years, Foolishness has managed the Active Game List in the Mafia forums, scheduled games to be hosted, reviewed setups with hosts to ensure they are balanced, and managed any issues that have come up. It is hard to imagine how much time he has spent making the forum a better place. Recently Foolishness has stepped down from these duties, but nonetheless his contributions are greatly appreciated.
Blazinghand has served as the TL Mafia moderator for an absurdly and equally long time. Despite not having a formal ban hammer, his manual list has preserved the integrity of games and kept things running smoothly. In conjunction with this service he has hosted/cohosted countless games and generally been a hugely positive influence in the forum.
On behalf of the wider TL.net community, thank you for all the contributions over the years and we look forward to many Mafia games in the future.

I have been shown by them that my little enclave of family and close friends were insulating me, and in fact, my behavior here reflects who I truly am far better than I had supposed. Yes, I am more normal that I was acting. But actually, not all that much more. I am indeed very odd, and struggle to express myself coherently
But I am lovable enough. I am rarely hated, and often liked a bit. Even though I am an obvious narcissist.

On an unrelated note, I'm pleased to announce that VE will soon have his own dedicated section in the TL Mafia Database!
As a sneak preview, I'm happy to reveal some of his greatest accomplishments:
54 losses, the most in TeamLiquid history. Just imagine how high that number would be if an unnamed hero didn't go out of his way to carry him through countless games.
26 mislynches, putting him in the 99.98th percentile in this category. I'm sure he would have hit 100 if it weren't for his revolutionary strategy of getting modkilled first.
A recipient of the 2016 Mafia Awards for being so incompetent that he can't even rage quit correctly.
The only player who is capable of burning his porkchops and his team at the same time.
