The short is that I'm pretty sure Tumbleweed and Gossemerr are mafia. MAFIA Gossemerr's posts are pretty mediocre. I hate his read on Race at #287 and his last post at #390 was classic "let's see what happens". As far as I can see, he hasn't done anything useful. Tumbleweed's entire filter can be summarised as follows: "this person might be mafia, but I'm not sure...". This is classic mafia play. It's so tentative, it's like me every time I try and kiss a girl on a third date. My guess for third mafia is Artanis. I agree with everything Damdred said about Artanis being vocal and yet pointless at the same time. HOWEVER, I'm less sure on this because I'm not sure I see the value in a mafia Artanis leading a shennany on to me so late. NULL BECAUSE TERRIBLE - WOULD LYNCH 2) Kuragari42 3) Spikasaur TOWN PILE Race Bannon is town. Ride or die. His post at #208 was spot on viz boxer. His comment at #265 on Artanis was spot on. He's been active and I've agreed with most of what he's said. DYH is town. He pressured newbies to post early [#180], and I loved his early read on Tumblewood. I think CHODGE is probably also town as well. I'm leaning town on Damdred and GB, but I'm much more certain about Damdred than GB. GB has pretty much just shit-posted / over-thought things. But a lot of people have been pushing him. Damdred mod-confirmed me (accurately!) plus I feel the townie vibes generally. BF never really had a strong Damdred read. He called out Damdred a few times, but that was it. At the same time, he started focussing more on TW. He then voted on TW, noting that he was still onto Damdred and would lynch either. There is nothing inconsistent in that. At the same time, you had a bunch of people who were MUCH better targets (me, for starters!). HOWEVER I still think that town's best play is to lynch the AFK lurkers, Kuragari42 and Spikasaur. I abhor AFKers (recognise the irony, but I was unintentionally AFK). Basically, we're never going to figure out their alignment because they don't play. We're best off getting rid of them now (which might, at least, force them to reveal their true colours). Also I hate the idea of losing to an AFK mafia player. A mafia team of TW, GB +1 of the AFKers makes sense to me. I think Goss' reactions to my last post were decent enough, and lynching Artanis when he's one of the only people actually playing is dumb. If Artanis is mafia, we basically fuckin' lost. | ||

But if LS is mafia, I think he could be with Artanis. There's just too much deflecting off each other in their threads. ??? LS is ALWAYS BAD in most people's eyes. I don't know why I have to explain this to people still. I've said this like ten times. The thing I really don't get about RB's push on LS, however, is how he hasn't interacted really with anyone else on it - especially not me. If I was *that* sure someone was mafia, and there was another playing posting incessantly negative things about my target, I'd be hitting them up for support. That was tortured, but yeah ... I'm starting to dig the Race mafia case. My early read on him was based mostly on his picking out bf early as town, from a crowded field, for reasons that looked good after the fact. But since the middle of day 1 ish, his weird LS tunnel has me concerned. | ||

And honestly, Artanis' meta read on me was 100% accurate. I get horrible stage-fright as mafia. As town I'm usually pretty try-hard (or, at least, you should be able to see I care quite a lot about getting it right). The truth is, I was playing in a five stack with people I don't play with very often but like to, when the other option was being dumped into a mafia game I'd only just found out I was in, two hours before deadline. And mafia is hard work and dota is easy. But I don't think Artanis would have known that - certainly it wasn't clear from my posts. | ||
