Prologue - Confirmations The setting: Present-day Cornwall, Treleavens ice cream factory and parlour. For the past 15 years, Treleavens has produced ice cream using traditional methods in Cornwall using milk from Trewithen Dairy near Lostwithiel, tamar fruits for berries and Bay Tree Candies of Looe for fudge and honeycomb toppings. Amongst their popular favourites, classic Cornish vanilla remains a best-seller in the southwest UK and is steadily gaining a following through the rest. Recently Treleavens has garnered a number of recognitions for its vanilla ice cream; however, these accolades aren't going ignored by those with a more sinister goal in mind. Jealous of the success that local confectioners Bay Tree Candies has had with the ever popular ice-cream maker, the confectioners of Demarquette have their own plans, to rid the popular ice cream maker of the delectable local chocolates that parlour goers crave and replace it with their own. Even worse, they plan on expanding "distribution" of their own chocolate by spoiling our beloved Cornish vanilla with it. Oh dear, this is madness. But first...they might need to rid a few people standing in their way. The confectioners with the agreement of course...and those working with such in the factory. Ice cream lovers, here's your chance. Protect your favourite brand of ice cream from falling into the hands of those chocolate fiends and the imposters, and you can do this by sniffing them out and giving them the boot! The local chocolate has a very distinct taste to it, so thankfully it won't be too hard to taste test a little and see who might be sabotaging factory operations...or the confectioners themselves.
