Ok, so reading the OP this was Semi-open - town knows all the possible roles, just not how many.
Framer + Godfather isn't unprecedented... I'm not sure where you're getting that from? It might not have happened in a TL forum game, but its definitely happened in TL IRC and forums, and I'm pretty sure there was a TL game that had it. Even if its unprecedented, it's in the OP, that should have been taken into account. This seems like a good punisher game, where if you scumhunt it isn't that hard but if you rely on roles too much you'll get screwed. If I had been in this game, the first thing I would have done is write an article on the different possible setups and interactions we needed to be careful of, chiefly that cops are less reliable that they typically would be.
TL Towns have a really bad habit of just rolling with the cop claim, and they usually end up winning because TL Mafia players are really bad at dealing with a claimed cop.
Also, as someone said, TL players are much better at playing town than playing mafia (aside from a couple people). So if you want a setup that is balanced for its playerbase, this setup seems good. rsoultin is right.
@marv: Mafia is a little favored, but its still reasonable, especially with the disparity in play quality between Town and Mafia. 8+JK vs 3 isn't dramatically imba, JK is a really powerful role in a setup where KP is carried.

Yeah, but at the same time town knows to go after those type of players and if the rber is able to locate the most town looking mafia, sometimes mafia will straight up lose. If you're able to eliminate yourself, a small group of players that you have an strong town read on, and anyone that is lynched or shot, the pool of possible targets grows pretty small pretty quickly in a mini.
I'm just playing devil's advocate though. I agree that removing the miller or nerfing the framer in this setup would probably have been smoother.

There have actually been 15 games on TL with the framer + godfather combo, which is almost half of the total games with framers. Hosts are cruel individuals

Must be back in 2009 when town had those 5 wins 15 loss ratings in 9 vs 3. Or it were +20 player games.
I understand that town won this game. But come on.. Framer, gf and miller... If town knew the set-up nobody would give too many fucks about the copchecks. But in this case town didn't know and I didn't see a set-up like this in the lat 2 years.
But town won.

I wasn't talking about actually lynching one of us there. I made it pretty clear that there are always other possibilities. Anyways, there is nothing to argue here. We made the incorrect decision as a team in the end since I did not stop you from doing this. I can't fault you for not bringing it home under these circumstances - you clearly played the best game out of the scum players.
