I think in the game in the state it was in, there was no real established town leader and no real unified town reads who were vocal about a lynch target and gaining traction. You claiming cop like you did gave everyone who was unsure or looking for someone to sheep the easiest excuse in the world to slap a vote on you without hesitation....something about rayn yelling at me a long time ago for fake claiming as VT and deserving to get lynched for it. | ||

rsoultin realised her mistake as soon as she sent the PM, so she won't do it again and a warning achieves nothing. LS is just a victim of straightforward honesty and naivety, and I explained how to deal with these situations in the future so now he knows, so again a warning achieves nothing. | ||

Well, my point with warnings isn't to teach rsoultin or LightningStrike a lesson. It's to clarify what's allowed and what's not allowed. Other people might go and do the exact same thing if there's no clarifications about it. Other people might do it anyway but I think it's less likely. I don't know if warnings have consequences for the people getting them? That's not what I'm after, I just think it should be clarified somewhere (the ban list being an appropriate place to talk about rules) that people should not do these things. Doesn't even matter if LightningStrike is a "victim [...] of honest and na[ï]vety" (wut), those people have to follow the rules too and maybe some other person like that doesn't realize the mistake he is making before it's too late. Do I think the PM had any effect on the game at all? No. Even if I think there's no way in a million years LightningStrike could have made that comment as scum and thus it sort of confirmed him as town (as if he wasn't already townie enough!) it didn't have an impact on the game. Does that excuse it? No. I don't see no reason not to warn when it's against the rules and it was done anyway. In my opinion it just deserves a mention in the ban list thread and no actual consequences for anyone. I guess I'll just make a post about it myself then. | ||

and i also know hosting is supposed to generally be objective and not take into account game-state but I like LS, it was all totally honest, and the game was pretty done, so meh :p it was 50/50 (i really just had to click send on the modkill post i wrote) and... yeah, i went the other way | ||
