That just made me wonder out of curiosity how a scum Trfel would play...the horror (for town, that is).

Is a non-native English speaker at a disadvantage in Mafia? I consider myself well-studied in English but certain phrases occasionally confound me.

Unless you are only talking about really really strong reads and where do you draw the line then? In my experience Marv, Palmer, Rayn, Keirathi, Holyflare and a number of others have pulled off that well for a number of consecutive games. Imo that's the ideal goal but few reach it and maintain it for a while.

generally speaking expect to be wrong constantly, just try to work out why you were wrong after the game or after a flip

How did someone put it my last game? "Everything Bunnies ever says is scummy, even when she is town". Not sure how this works, but eh. lol

I wouldn't lynch you either Bunnies <3 Well done taking out scum in Metal. Not to mention you could see the future a bit in carol with KSC, and I just remember you saying when you were being wagoned about me being a likely mislynch target. My, how prophetic that turned out to be. Definitely townie <3 On December 30 2014 08:50 marvellosity wrote: generally speaking expect to be wrong constantly, just try to work out why you were wrong after the game or after a flip I feel a little relieved now you're saying it's not so bad, though I certainly don't expect to be an expert overnight!

Curiosity and a source of new reading material. I've frequented Team Liquid for approximately 4.5 years, which was first caused by an overwhelming affinity for the newly released StarCraft II. I considered myself a closet expert on everything StarCraft until about 8 months ago. My amount of free time to play and watch games was dramatically reduced, so I started to grow more distant from the game and the community. I never stopped reading the articles and forums, however. Something about them appeals to me, even if I'm not a fan of the game discussed or even part of the discussion. In my slow-but-steady progress of reading through all the major threads on this site, I somehow avoided the Mafia section entirely, mostly because I was unsure as to what it actually was. I thought it was some sort of online game until about 3 weeks ago, to be perfectly honest. Nothing I had read in other sections or by other users mentioning Mafia explained what it actually was, so... Anyway, something somebody said made me question what Mafia was again, so I started reading through the threads and found them to be much enjoyable. In an attempt to make myself proactive in posting, I decided to sign up on the first Newbie game I saw.
