The Rules
The rules for this game are drawn from my model OP here: (link). Read them.
Supplemental Rules
In addition to the rules outlined in the Model OP, there are a couple changes for this game.
1. Night/Day: This game will have only one Day, Day 1. When Day 1 ends, the game is over.
2. Day Length: Day 1 will last until a majority exists, then it will end. It can last any amount of time. There is no deadline.
3. Lynch Type: This game uses Instant Majority Lynch. With 5 players, it takes 3 votes to lynch. As soon as someone has received 3 votes, the day ends. Voting is done in the voting thread (link). You may note vote for yourself.
4. Activity: It is required you make at least 2 posts per 48 hours, and ALSO meet the arbitrary activity requirement that exists entirely in my mind. I'll let you know if I think your activity is getting low.
5. Eligibility: This game is only open to players who have played at least 1 game of forum mafia, ideally on TL. It's an unusual setup, designed for people who already have a good grasp of the basics. Otherwise, this game is open to anyone in good standing with the ban list and me.

Roles and Setup information
This is an Open setup. The exact roles are explicitly specified here.
This game lasts one Day, which can take however long it takes to reach a majority. Once a majority has been reached, the target is lynched on the spot, instantly. The Day ends, and with it the game; this game begins at LYLO, so to speak.
Roles
Oil & Vinegar (Vanilla Townie): A classic salad ingredient! What could we do without you? You win if the Mafia Goon is lynched. The town is 3 people: there are two of you, and one BoxeR.
Pepper (BoxeR): Another great condiment to have sprinkled on the salad. You win if the Mafia goon is lynched. The town is 3 people: there is one of you, and two VTs.
Candied Walnuts (Jester): You... you'd be an okay salad ingredient. It's not the best way to use you, though. It's a terrible waste of your potential. No, you gotta get out of here. You gotta get out of here right now. You win if you are lynched. Otherwise, you lose.
Caramel Covered Mustard and Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich (Mafia Goon): Oh my god, what? What the devil are you doing, trying to get into a salad? You'd ruin everything! You win if a town member (Vanilla Townie or BoxeR) is lynched.

I mean, why claiming something as mafia and be easily counter claimed by the real jester, then reducing the lynch targets to 2 possibilities, where he will have 50% chance of being lynched, while he could blend in town and have 20% chance of being lynched?( I'm counting mafia + townies )

My posts are not "100% fluff". My posts are pointed, direct questions to Damdred who came in with an observation about Fecal. It's literally the first bit of content in the game, how is that in any way whatsoever fluff?

He reads FF as jester, and then leaves mafia in damdred, myself, and ve. At the time only me and FF claimed boxer, so from his perspective, I would be the real boxer if he thinks FF is jester. That is unless he considered the possibility that I could be fakeclaiming. When I did say that I fakeclaimed, GB was really surprised, so that wasn't the case.

So that's everyone. We have 1 confirmed anti-town between GB/Dam/VE and we have 1 confirmed antitown between Fecal/CR.
I want to hear GB explain his reads, because right now I've got HIM and Fecal as the antitown. He came into the thread casting suspicion on me immediately, which frankly only someone with a deathwish does. Further he's gone on to non-explain his reads as if he's trying to get lynched. His reasoning for being so certain that I'm mafia that he "can't wait to see what I claim" is that my posts are "fluff". But if you look at my posts, I'm one of the first people in here questioning peoples' motives and reasonings, and frankly that he calls it fluff indicates that he's literally trying to die. I'd like everyone's opinion on whether he's more likely the mafia or the jester, but there's literally no way GB is town based on what I'm seeing so far. He's not doing anything but making unsubstantiated reads and claims he's "trying to figure out the game". From where I'm sitting nothing could be further from the truth. Lol... Mafia is blended in town and it is damdred, cr or VE. My best bet is on VE He reads FF as jester, and then leaves mafia in damdred, myself, and ve. At the time only me and FF claimed boxer, so from his perspective, I would be the real boxer if he thinks FF is jester. That is unless he considered the possibility that I could be fakeclaiming. When I did say that I fakeclaimed, GB was really surprised, so that wasn't the case.
It just crossed my mind that mafia was between town, CR. I haven't put thought on it.

You haven't though, I've literally demolished your case against me, it was nothing but you saying "Oh VE is mafia" and saying "fluff" when my posts aren't fluff. Before the game started I asked the purpose of th boxer role, and even askied "Is it just for claiming?" since a unique VT that is limited to 1 player seems only good for claiming to me. I rolled boxer, so I claimed. It was premeditated, in a sense.
I am at my shop until 10pm so unless there are customers I will be active til then.

I don't understand what makes him the Jester over mafia in this case. For one, if he's trying to get lynched, then why not stick with the claim and then just afk? Backing out of it seems more like someone who's afraid they might get lynched to me than someone who's actively trying to get lynched as a part of their wincon.

Like, I frankly my gut tells me that CR is actually town here. The move doesn't make sense from either perspective honestly - if he's mafia then he KNOWS, KNOWS FOR A FACT that a counterclaim is coming. It's not like, a chance or whatever, this is an open setup with all roles known. If CR is mafia then he knows for a fact that the REAL Boxer IS going to counterclaim him. It's much easier for me to believe that he's town and made a plan to confirm a townie than it is for me to believe that he's mafia and claimed a role he KNOWS is going to be counterclaimed BY MECHANICS only to back off it.
That leaves him as either townie or Jester, and as I said, I don't know that I believe he does that as Jester. It's possible, I'm just skeptical.

The plan is very simple to grasp.
Whoever is mafia will want the claims to be split 3-2 so that all 5 people are lynchable. If all town are honest about their claim, then it will end in 3-2 and we start with nothing at all. The only way to force a 2-3 or 4-1 claim is to be dishonest about my role in order to mislead the anti-town.
To everyone else that's not VE, if VE is anti-town and his claim was based on what was currently claimed, then you can thank me for confirming FF as town.
If I rolled boxer, I would do exactly the same thing and claim OV. The two possible scenarios are 3-2 or 4-1. If it ends up being 3-2, it will confirm two people as town and the game ends up really easy. If it's 4-1, I rescind my claim immediately, and we get a little information out of it, and there's no harm done.
I don't know why you tried to argue against my plan assuming that if I rolled Boxer it will be a 4-1 split instead of a 3-2 split. Both scenarios are possible. In this current game, it's a 4-1 split, which is the best case scenario, but you ignored the best case scenario completely, even though it happened right in front of your eyes.

My plan did not require me to claim before FF. It only required me to claim before at least one anti-town. Since FF is confirmed town, it doesn't matter if I claim before or after him. Read my previous post for the explanation.

It's not - I didn't want to see the claims to get their order, I wanted to see under what circumstances people claimed and how people reacted to the claims, and finally how people reacted to MY claim. It has nothing to do with the order, and it's not a contradiction.

GB also plays a bit weirdly, like not to his previous town-meta or scum-meta, and also drunk posting. This says he's trying to make us take him less seriously. Less likely for us to lynch into the people he ever reads.
However with someone of GB's skill level, this doesn't seem likely. I would imagine that jester would just play to their scum meta; subtle enough for people not to think it is forced, and obvious enough that people would scumread him. I don't see a jester playing jester this hard.

This is where I'm at, but more like 60% M, 20% J, 10% T. Like, I just don't think a Jester tries this hard to get lynched. Look at how GB's primary concern is getting a lynch on someone that's not himself - it's just really not good play if he's a Jester. Or really GOOD play, depending on your perspective, I mean if he's a Jester then he's doing a decent job of convincing ME that he's not, and to lynch him.

I think CR is the jester because his fake claim is suspicious and it was so weird that it looked like he was trying to get votes on him. The order of claiming does not effect his plan per se, but affects its credibility. He was one of the first posters, why not claiming immediately and getting counter claimed? It just sounded like he saw the claim and claimed after just so he could unclaim and look suspicious.

VE started with a lot of fluff (in my opinion) but he is looking townier to me.

Its a tough call, VE or CR. CR has the acivity of someone who could be the jester whos just trying to lurk by, VE is trying to push a vote without actually voting himself. Both have a few anti-town points.
I can see CR being the jester but I can't see VE being it. What do you think?

At this point I doubt we will all be on at the same time, we have to decide if CR and his lurk is mafia related or jester related. OR if VE and his constant push on GB is mafia related.
Just looking over the thread and his claim+unclaim seems jester and his ability to just do nothing put CR into the jester category. While VE is trying to look as towny as possible right now and he has that really confident tone with no waffle in it. I'm pretty sure VE is the mafia

There are two ways to look at it, hes hoping we switch to him or he keeps saying that gb is mafia and we agree with him. If you look at his posts he really is tryin to push us to lynch GB here, he does mention that their is a small chance but our votes should be on GB but never votes him himself.
This is a tough predicament, CR has a small history as mafia to just leave the thread and not talk much either so their is that to.

However, not only is the scum trying not to get lynched, the jester is trying to get lynched. Even worse, it's instant majority. Like, I just don't think a Jester tries this hard to get lynched. Look at how GB's primary concern is getting a lynch on someone that's not himself - it's just really not good play if he's a Jester. Or really GOOD play, depending on your perspective, I mean if he's a Jester then he's doing a decent job of convincing ME that he's not, and to lynch him.

Wow, this is a very well done analysis. I completely understand and agree with you in every sense.
It crossed my mind that voting could be too much, but it wasn't really clear why. Now I completely get it after what you just said.
Maybe if I kept aggressive and not voting would be better.
Btw, funny thing: I started aggressive because that is what I do as town in every game. I probably got too overwhelmed.
