ENDGAME ![]() ![]() Superbia looked left and right at the two men who stood before her. Each claimed to be her ally, who had fought and survived against the brutal attack. Each seemed red, but she could not tell if it was due to their the injuries they claimed or their true nature. JennyHell and Barakos shouted their pleas. And in the end, Superbia was convinced. She would trust Barakos. She would trust her knight, Gaston. She would make her last mistake. As the yellow magic flew from the scimitar, it flooded over the the proud knight JennyHell and sent him far away, cast into another place, or another time. ![]() They did not all live happily ever after. But, do not fret, my dears. For there is still magic in tomorrows. What might be, may still be, someday. ![]() The Wicked have prevailed - Mafia win! JennyHell has been lynched – Prince Phillip, the Dashing Hero (Town 1-Shot Bulletproof) was banished! Superbia has been endgamed – Ariel, the Musical Mermaid (Vanilla Town) was endgamed! Barakos has survived – Gaston, the Brute (Mafia Goon) has survived!

I have quite a few comments on this game and I’ll try to post them once I have a little distance from the game. Here were a few thoughts I wanted to share immediately, though, as they are fresh on my mind. Modkills / Inactivity I think it’s undeniable that inactivity and modkills had a significant effect on this game, and that’s regrettable for me as a host and likely for you all as players. I can only guess at how the game would have turned out otherwise. I think abuse had been questioning players really well early on and gave reads effectively, so I wonder where his thoughts would have led him in the subsequent days. Lilwade and daydreamarine both could have had really substantial impacts on the game with their power-roles – mafia correctly guessed daydreamarine was the jailor, but if daydreamarine had submitted an action and posted I think there’s a fair chance he would have blocked mafia or saved a town (he did target Barakos for jailing the prior night but was roleblocked). I can tell you I did my best to be impartial as to the modkills and certainly was unhappy to deliver the killing blow to you all. I’d really encourage you all to play mafia again, just be a little more mindful of the activity rules if you can. Deadline I really think that asking for the deadline to be moved up in LYLO is mafia-favored. If you have more time, there’s more opportunity for you to review the prior days, to talk about your reads. At LYLO, hopefully all the information you need to make an informed lynch is in the thread, it’s just a matter of discovering it and turning it over. This is a time where questioning other players is very important (game deciding!) so I don’t feel that making a decision sooner is likely to be beneficial. Strategy / Gameplay If I feel up to it I’ll post some additional comments on the game day to day, probably next weekend as I’m busy volunteering this weekend. If any coaches have comments I’d encourage you to post them as well. Hapa had some excellent comments on the endgame posts reading between JennyHell & Barakos the obs QT as well, I'd really encourage the players to check those out.

Main thing, was that I was thinking at the moment, that you would turn this thing into something like "you two now behave your best to make me not angry" and I kicked myself for putting you in charge of the misslynch. Turned out it was the right call after all... but still, I could have put a lot more effort into it after your questions and I basically put the whole game at risk for me. I basically took a gamble, that you would stick with your guesses you posted.

But this LYLO was too quiet, although they've got long posts. LYLO is a time where you have to carefully read the entire game and reevaluate your reads. Asking questions and trying to find how those answers seems like coming from a scum trying to manipulate you or a townie desperate to show his innocence. It lacked activity, IMO

The most annoying thing was that both players hadn't aligned themselves at all with wade. Both seemed neutral on him, especially given me wanting to push on him during n2. If we had a decent d3 I probably would've had the information necessary to get a better read. But that's no excuse, I should've seen whatever I needed to see. The biggest scumread I had on Jenny was that she had to put a lot of content during d2 on why Gobbledydook was town n1, even though he was already confirmed. I had a couple of other things, but this is why I put my vote on Jenny in the end.

If you want to share them feel free, if you don't, that's perfectly fine.

A mafia mostly won't risk himself to relentlessly push on a confirmed townie (because, as mafia, he knows when someone is actually town). It's mostly a paranoid town trait

I'm kind of confused as to what you're answering to here. Also, forgive me Jenny. ![]()
