I think last time town agreed it was a good idea to have 2 scummy people against each other.

But then townie-looking townies duelled mafia and that plan went out the window, and it turned out ok in the end.

obi was clever because he added the point about people only wanting to duel ppl they think are mafia. if x and y are deemed scummiest but neither of them are each other's main scumread, then they just won't duel each other, and it won't really be scummy even if we try in vain to enforce the policy.

the problem is once town zoned out Damdred after the d2 lynch, they never resivisited him. He was just allowed to exist, doing nothing, with zero pressure applied to him.

I did stop to rethink the possibility of Damdred mafia. I think his role was true regardless of alignment and in the end I found Vivax's complaints and lack of direction more scummy than Damdred being so.

Yes I pulled the trigger as soon as dawn happened, but like the entirety of the game's reads could have been formed a full 2 cycles prior. If the first 108 hours or whatever aren't gonna do it, hows an extra 48 gonna help?


I've done exactly what you did, and it's always a terrible idea.

Step back, rethink in lylo. Read the game again as if everything you've been assuming is now wrong, and see if it fits better. Everyone fucks up like this in lylo once, the point is to take the lesson and next time give it a real shot.

Just like to reiterate this.

LYLO is a special time where things get reconsidered and the game can STILL be figured out by town even though the flow of the game seems otherwise.

my very first newbie game is a perfect example, things all turned around at lylo. You've gotta give yourself time to think and reprocess.
