I’m back in the thread and I am mostly caught up, I skimmed a little.
I'll give a little more below but to summarize thoughts right now:
I don’t feel all that convinced by kitaman27’s case on rayn. But I really dislike rayn’s 100% scumread on kitaman27 following the case, and dislike that rayn seems to promote gumshoe’s scumminess and downgrade Alakaslam’s scumminess for no clear reason.
Currently my vote preference is rayn (feels scum), slam (scum/3p), or gumshoe (lurker).
I do not know if rayn is checked out of the thread for real so I will question him below. I'm voting him now, but I am may move back to Slam. I don't like his answers to my questions.
I think gumshoe and alakaslam are “safer” lynches for today. But, if we are going for a 'safe' lynch Alakaslam seems safer, so he'd be my preference over gumshoe. Only potential read I got from gumshoe is that he is maybe hinting at a power role, but he could just as easily be a VT that's roleplaying.

Regarding kitaman27’s case on raynpelikoneet:
kita raises a few points I want to address:
(1) rayn doesn’t follow through on kitaman: I believe rayn likely did not do the research or read your prior game because I think he could have used it to support a town or scum read on you.
(2) rayn’s vote on hopeless seems bad : I pretty much agree with this. I don’t feel rayn gave an adequate reason for this. I may be tunneling a little because rayn’s comment on kitaman27’s ‘case’ on hope1ess still feels unexplained when it should be easy to explain.
(3) kita sees rayn’s mass claim policy as towny: I feel rayn has probably played enough that he knows how to push an agenda, but I do not feel he pushed the idea in a meaningful way.

It seems to me that rayn reads gumshoe as more scummy and Alakaslam as less scummy but I do not really get his reasons.

I wouldn't mind lynching thrawn just for that post to be honest. Not that I have any power to get someone lynched in the first place.
I still feel good about the rayn lynch as in I think he's mafia but I do have some lingering fears and this post is exactly what it's feeling like, which also is the reason I'd still prefere the hopeless lynch.
Thrawn saying rayn is 100% certain town, saying that kita should be mafia because of that in any normal situation but isn't in this because it makes sense in this situation according to him despite being 100% certain himself that rayn is town right now.
Imo looks like someone setting himself up for next cycle which is what I meant with I'm scared. Could be paranoia but I really don't think that's something a town-thrawn would be posting. At all.

Gumshoe vs. Slam
For people in thread now, why pick gumshoe over slam?
Maybe I'm biased because he picked me ~~~ but it seems to me that Alakaslam is not town, maybe scum, whereas gumshoe is just maybe scum.

It seems unlikely that mafia would have both a town recruiting role and a traitor role in the same game. I suppose a third party traitor that joins the mafia team is a possibility, but I've never seem something like that before.
I do not think traitors are alignment changing, and given the Dr. Who lore as I understand it (cybermen turn other people into cybermen somehow) I feel pretty strongly that mechanic is in the game.

It's not just about the trap. Result of trap was that rayn announced he'd do some research, then after Toad "cheated" he said he didn't care enough to post it, then he went back to calling kita scum and adds gumshoe on top of it.
Then he sheeps a Foolishness scumread of which we even don't know if it's really from him and I already tried previously to discuss that point againseless t hopcause I actually want to know if people think it's a good point enough for Toad to go for such a confident scumread on hopeless that early in the game. I'm not sure myself what to read into the point that hope sounded so serious towards kaslam but I don't find it damning even if it's from Foolish cause hope explained he was dicking around with his posts, which isn't too implausible early in the game.

@austinmcc & @kushm4sta can you explain why you would prefer to vote off gumshoe over slam? I do not actually know that is your preference but will take Djoref's word for it for now.
To be frank and direct, I think non-town would prefer to keep a 3rd party role alive as a potential asset later in the game so I am suspicious of this preference. (obviously if slam is actually scum then there are other simple reasons you would prefer he live)

the bolded is the reason I'm saying you're, for some reason, 100% certain that rayn is town. Because otherwise you wouldn't even think about lynching someone just because you disagree with them on a lynch, so you would not have pointed that in your post unless you're really certain on this one and it's not just some "yeah could be a good lynch but I think there's better lynches out there". Noone in his right mind would say but i'm not really willing lynch kita for it if that was the idea you had about the lynch. Right?
Despite that you somehow feel the need to tell people that Kita is fine in this situation though and that you don't want to lynch him despite lynching a 100% certain townread of yours because of some weird trap play that you're okay with.
So yeah, I really don't like the fact that you feel like explaining this. And I don't like the fact that you're apparently already 100% certain on Rayn being town.

If slam suddenly became modconfirmed town, I think I'd lynch him for self-satisfaction. At least as non-town, he has an excuse, even if it's a bad one.

here's the deal about slam vs gumshoe
i think slam has demonstrated that he doesn't know alignments. so at least, i don't think he is scum. idc if he is survivor. hell he can stay till endgame if he likes, as long as he doesn't fuck things up.
gumshoe has not demonstrated anything except his willingness to be useless

That alone is enough for me.
There's also the fact that I don't care at all about slam's claim. I don't care what he says, and by that I mean that I actually do not think it's townie/scummy/anything. It's pure null for me, and I think lynching him based on what he says is sillypants.
If slam is TRUTHFUL and is a survivor, we don't want to lynch him.
If slam is LYING and TOWN, we don't want to lynch him.
If slam is LYING and ANTI-TOWN, we want to lynch him. But I don't particularly see why scumSlam goes and claims survivor partway through D1 in response to a little pressure. He can claim ANYTHING or claim NOTHING, and he just claims survivor and then halfway unclaims and claims some other random stuff?
I do not believe that his claim makes him likely to be 3P or anti-town or anything. I interpret it as someone claiming stuff for fun, and doing silly things for fun is not alignment-indicative to me.
