So I have to go to a meeting in LA

I was trimming my nose with this price of shit nose hit trimmer by Panasonic

Kept pulling my hairs, I trimmed one side mostly

Then it exploded, and parts fell down the drain and violently cut my inner nose

So

Now I go to meeting with blood on one side and hair on the other

I'm working on a new setup. Thought I'd start by posting it in here to not get bloated fliters before the game even started. I'd also appreciate it if everyone got their chance in designing it whether they want to play it or not.

And now for some fresh air. WORK IN PROGRESS. Balancing this depends on interest as in player amount, and balance suggestions.

I'm sure you can look up the original mafia OP by yourselves.

INSTANT MAJORITY LYNCH GAME. (yay!)
Silent nights. Night start. You will have plenty to talk about on D1.
Night phases end when all actions are in, can't edit your actions once they are in unless you are evil and not the last action.

Inspired by town of salem, I'll put a bunch of unusual roles into the game:

Town:

Transporter: Switch two players at night, rather self explanatory. Power doesn't work after MYLO and LYLO mislynches. Can't target yourself more than once.

Vigilante: Same as normal vigilante. Unlimited bullets, but if you hit a townie you both die in the same night cause you will kill yourself if you are wrong, even if you shot one cause of the witch.

Retributionist: Revive a fallen player once.

Bodyguard: Select a player at night. If he gets targeted by KP, you and his attackers die. Vigilante included.

Cop: Usual cop. Returns evil or good (can't discern mafia from WW). Witch returns good.

PGO: Once per game, you can choose to kill anyone who visits you.

Third party:

Witch: Wins with mafia and 3p. Can select a player and redirect his action to any other player. Gets the players role upon usage.
Doesn't work on transporter and retributionist.
Will get the cops results along with him.

Werewolf: Every second night starting from the third night (first opportunity on third night), go on a rampage at a players house. The player will die along with any visitors of that player (not his targets unless he is the transporter swapping himself). Takes 2 KP to kill.

Mafia:

Godfather: Returns good to cop. Takes 2 KP to kill.

Janitor: Twice per game, hide the role and alignment of a night kill. Immune to werewolf unless selected by him or carrying a kill on his target.

If PGO is visited by mafia do both players die? What if GF carries the kill?

I feel like GF taking two KP to kill AND is returns good to cop is a bit broken, I think it's more interesting if roles are active and require a bit of thinking.

Speaking of trying out setups, I want to try out two at some point:

Mayo Clinic Mafia with some tweaks: https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Mayo_Clinic

Base setup is:

1 Mafia Doctor
1 Mafia Goon
1 Mafia Docblocker (blocks doctor actions only)
1 Compulsive Bulletproof Serial Killer
2 Compulsive Vigilantes
6 Doctors

I'm thinking of the following changes:

Change mafia goon/docblocker to rolecop/roleblocker with serial killer returning "doctor" to rolecop.
*Maybe* change every role to compulsive, and rather than RNG an action if the player fails to send one, treat it like warning/modkill (like Artanis's game; required actions are 3 posts per cycle, vote in day, action at night; warning for first failure modkill for second)

The other one I want to try out is Dethy for 5: https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Dethy

1 Mafia Goon
1 Sane Cop
1 Insane Cop
1 Paranoid Cop
1 Naive Cop

Anyone have thoughts balance-wise for TL?

I really like the idea of changing doc-block to role-block. I'm afraid of a scenario where two compulsive vig's claim and town just agrees to protect them. A mafia roleblocker + doctor combo can help prevent that.
