One of the big claims WoS has to being town is that he pushed Shia over Sylencia. In my mind, this was a distancing attempt and a bus, and I mean it makes sense. Town will almost always go with the cop's red check unless the cop is certain hes insane. Therefore he could look like hes trying to save sylencia when its a mislynch that will solve itself.
