Your case on jay is weak and in many ways I feel the Chezinu rule applies to him. He is such a weak player that someone making him their main target (if he is town) is very likely to be scum. I agree that his sheep vote on supersoft was scummy, but that's pretty much the only thing. There are many reasons for him to be town though: - Kush's attention-grabbing entrance to the thread - Kush's overall anti-town and scummy behaviour - suicidal for any actual scum - Lazermonkey has been very active and made sense even under heavy pressure That last argument is just WIFOM as well.
Those points you have for Kush are great. If it wasn't Kush. Did you read WC? Or any of his scum games? Many of us have while you haven't and I know you probably don't like being told you don't know what you are talking about but you have no idea what you are talking about. Kush plays that way as either alignment.

1. Not really no. Basically I employ meta to understand if things people do which I think are scummy are consistent with their town play.
2. it was on a dude like jay who I just see as lynch bait all the time and not worth lynching d1. It mostly focused on the aspects of his play which seem weak as opposed to the ones that feel deeply scummy, i.e. soft-defense, soft-attack, appologetics. I've been coaching a lot of newbies recently and I see those traits in a lot of newbie town players. Early in the game I didn't see that panning out.
3. I assume we're still talking about Xat here, I don't see you stating that. I just reread your case but maybe I'm missing it. Could you direct me to that post of yours?

Thrawn. I came into the thread late because of work, I posted a bad post because I felt I had to post and get into the thread. It was dumb. I don't think I am a victim. I didn't want to push the SS wagon hard anymore as I had a scummier scum read, I knew that the wagon would fall apart without me (have you ever seen Hopeless push a wagon well? Or scum Lazer?).

Yeah, you guys were pretty obvious, your meta was waaaaaay off xata and I even told you how it was off in thread and you didn't change it. Big plays make the game fun. And some of them are great, sometimes they pay off too (see sandroba in CT). I wish my scum play was worse, it makes life hard to be a suspect when I play as protown as protown gets. I feel like my lunch was pretty terrible this game, the only town who honestly thought I was scum was thrawn and it was because I reacted differently to his pressure when I had him as scum and when I had him as town.
Bugs, I agree with you on these towns. I think we need an invite game or two to get high level play back. But foolishness isn't a fan of them as they exclude too many people.
Grush is always improving which I respect a lot. He isn't great but he tries. Zentor in this game didn't even do that which I personally was pretty disgusted by. Hopeless was town if you knew him but again he needs to put more effort into his play. Jay and xata only got away with what they got away with, as you say, because our towns have these kinds of players in them. There needs to be a collective agreement to play well as town and scum instead of playing like shit as town so that you can get away with it as scum. I also really hope that newbies can start in newbie games instead of joining these games.
